Abadi Bano Begum (Bi Amma(mother in Urdu) ) was a distinguished voice within the Indian independence movement. She was one of all the primary Muslim ladies to actively participate in politics and was a part of the movement to free the sub-continent from British rule. She was born in 1850 in the province, she married Abdul Ali Khan, a senior official within the Rampur State. The couple had one girl and 5 sons. when her husband's death at a young age, the responsibility to appear when her kids fell on her despite the fact that she had restricted resources, Bano Begum pawned her personal jewelry to coach her kids. Bano Begum failed to have ANy formal education however still sent her kids to an English-medium college within the city of Bareilly, province. Her sons, Maulana Mahound Ali Jouhar and Maulana Shaukat Ali went on to become leading figures of the Khilafat Movement and therefore the Indian independence movement. They contend a crucial role throughout the non-cooperation movement against British rule.

Bano Begum took an energetic half in politics and was a part of the Khilafat committee.
