Last year, Hina was was taking care of her mother on hospital. Her mother was suffering from Asthma due to long period of raining. She was sitting by the window and saw a ray of light on a top of a building. She decided to go there and pray for sunshine once for her mother.

She prayer from her heart and the sky started clearing up suddenly. She became the sunshine girl on that day.

The rain drops were going back to the sky. The sky became clear for that day.

On the other side Hodaka runs away from his village and comes to Tokyo by a ship . There he met a man named Keisuke . Kei gave him his card and said that he can contact him if he needs.

Hoadaka searches for jobs in Tokyo on internet but he was unable to get one because of being under 18.

The money ,he took from his from that was now about to finish. He was seating on a table of a restaurant. Hina was a waiter on that restaurant . She felt bad for the boy and gave him a burger . Hodaka was so happy to get it because he didn't have food for 3 days.

He was too hopeless that what he would do. Meanwhile he remembers about Keisuke Suga . He went to the mentioned address on the card for a job.

Keisuke gives him a job to be his assistant and offers daily's food and shelter too. While working with Kei and his Niece Natsumi he heard about a myth of a sunshine girl. First he didn't believe that. They researched about that furthermore.

Hodaka was going to a shop with Kei . A stranger on the road was trying to act bad to Hina. Meanwhile, Hodaka noticed that it was that girl who gave him a burger on the restaurant.

So, Hodaka helped her and ran away from there .
Both of them went to a building in where she prayed for sunshine for the first time.

They reached on the rooftop.

She asked Hodaka whether he wanted a good weather or not. He didn't declined. She prayed into the sky and the clouds started moving. Hodaka and Hina both were under 18 so they were unable to find a job. So, Hodaka gave her a idea of making money by clearing the sky in Tokyo. And then they continued to do that. But it had a dangerous impact on Hina. She was fading away every time when she clears the sky. She didn't tell about this to Hodaka and his brother Nagisuke.

The skies were getting cleared.

It was festive mode in Tokyo because rains stopped all over Tokyo after many months.

On that time , police was searching for Hodaka for escaping from his village. But he didn't wanted to go back. So, three of them were running from police in Tokyo . They weren't getting a hotel to stay. Suddenly , police chased them. As Hina's soul was connected to the sky , Hina was in trouble and the sky went bad . There was a great typhoon 🌀 of all time.

Police tried to catch Hodaka but Hina saved her. Hina got triggered and there was a thunder ⚡ from the sky. They ran away and somehow managed a hotel to pass the night .

Hina said everything about herself that night to Hodaka and confesses each other that they love each more than anything. After hearing everything Hodaka told her to stop this job. But she asked only one thing that is do they want a beautiful sky or not. They didn't say anything and slept. On that night 🌉 she sacrificed herself to the sky for the good weather ☁️ of Tokyo.

It was a very bright and shiny morning. Hodaka was too desperate when he didn't see Hina on the morning. He realized that she gave her life for this good weather. Meanwhile, police came there and caught them to the police station.

He and Nagi ran away from the police station. He wanted to get her back no matter what happens. According to the myth , if a sunshine girl fades onces she can't comback again. But he didn't lose hope . Natsumi helped him yo reach that building. There he had a clash with the police.

He reached on the rooftop and went into the loop he reached in another world where everything was made of cloud and water. He found Hina overthere. Both of them hold each other's hands and jumped from the sky.

Sooner later they were found on the roof top and the weather went bad again. Then Hina wasn't a sunshine girl anymore. Police took them to their parents.

3 years later, Hodaka completed graduation and went to Tokyo in search of a job and Hina . He saw half of the Tokyo was under the water . He was walking around a lake and mysteriously he found Hina again praying towards the sky.

Overall Review

This one of the finest anime movies that i ever saw. You may consider it like a cartoon movie but please don't. It's story and animations are awesome. It made me fall in love with it. i was deeply crying while watching the movie. It's designed so beautiful thay you are bound to get tears.
