Kitty Likes Beethoven

This is a short video of me playing the intro of Moonlight Sonata on guitar. My kitty cat companion enjoys when I play. You can observe how the vibrations influence him to relax and stretch out.

When I learned to play guitar as a teenager, 60's psychedelic rock was my thing, as well as some hard metal out of Sweden. I began my playing on an acoustic initially, but then was gifted a Fender Stratocaster from my family. I became a lead guitar player primarily, and finger picking techniques always came secondary.

I very much enjoy lead guitar, but rhythm guitar is just as important, and my weak point is finger picking.

Moonlight Sonata is by far the hardest song I have ever learned how to finger pick, especially the parts that require the pinky finger, and I never made it past learning the intro. If I can finish learning this song in my life time with an ability to play it proficiently , it will be quite an achievement.

It's sat on the back burner most of my life, but I am going to try to learn more of it. We have so many musicians in the #musicforsteem community who are great finger pickers on guitar. Thank you for motivating me to keep playing and improve my fingerpicking. You're all amazing!
