Music For Steem - Musicians and Covid-19 [ENG-ESP]

Today I am going to talk a little about how COVID-19 has affected me and my music carreer. I hope you enjoy it!

Hoy les hablaré un poco sobre cómo me ha afectado a mi y mi carrera musical toda esta crisis del COVID-19 ¡Espero lo disfruten

Being in this lockdown doing concerts to my familiy and neighbors from home, and not in the big concert halls like me and any others musicians are used to, it makes us feel weird.

El estar encerrado y solo poder realizar conciertos para mis familiares y vecinos desde mi hogar, y no en las grandes salas de conciertos como yo y muchos músicos estamos acostumbrados, nos hace sentir extraños.

Lately many musicians over the world have taken advantage of mobile devices and social media to be able to meet again with theit orchestra colleagues, and even with colleagues from anywhere in the world. However, this is a weird sensation, feeling like you are at a concert after recording on your room. Seeing you on the small screen doing an ensemble work again, and despite the distance, realize that we are not lonely.

Últimamente muchos músicos de todo el mundo han aprovechado los dispositivos móviles y las redes sociales para poder reencontrarse con sus compañeros de orquesta, e incluso con colegas de cualquier parte del mundo. Sin embargo, es una sensación muy extraña esta, la de sentirse como en un concierto luego de haber grabado solo en tu habitación. De verte en la pequeña pantalla haciendo ensamble nuevamente y que a pesar de la distancia, darte cuenta que no estamos solos en esto.

Despite all of this, we have to feel grateful to be healthy, and understand that all of this is in order to be fine, and take advantage of this, practice a lot, learn new things, and maybe do things that you could not do frequently in your normal rutine, just like me, joining this wonderful community.

A pesar de todo, hay que agradecer que estamos sanos, entender que todo es por nuestro bien, y sacarle el mayor provecho, estudiar mucho, aprender cosas nuevas, y quizás hacer cosas que con tu rutina normal no hubieses podido hacer con tanta frecuencia, como en mi caso, estar en esta maravillosa comunidad, por ejemplo.

In the end, this will all end, and bit by bit we will be all together doing what we love, in our case, enjoy together the incredible musical world.

Al final, todo esto pasará y poco a poco estaremos todos juntos haciendo lo que mas nos gusta de nuevo, como en nuestro caso, disfrutar juntos de el increíble mundo de la música.

Throughout the post, I have been sharing some pics from an interview that El Sistema made to me (In a future post I am going to tell you more about El Sistema, an examplary model around the world) at home, a few months ago. Just as I have also shared some videos of my individial practice and our "concerts" from home. Here it is other, a bit innovative for me, since I am not a violinist, but with some lessons from my girlfriend (who it is) I could play this amazing solo from P.I Tchaikovsky 4th Symphony, with my instrument, the oboe, and "playing" the violin.

Al rededor del post les he compartido algunas imágenes de una entrevista que me realizó el Sistema de Orquestas de mi país (en un futuro post les hablaré sobre este maravilloso Sistema, ejemplo en todo el mundo) en mi hogar hace algunos meses. Así como también les he compartido algunos videos de mi estudio individual y de nuestros "conciertos" desde el hogar. Aquí les dejo otro, un poco innovador para mí, ya que no soy violinista, pero con algunas lecciones de mi novia, (quien si lo es) pude interpretar este maravilloso solo de la 4ta sinfonía de P.I.Tchaikovsky, con mi instrumento, el oboe y "tocando" el violin.

This last year we only have been able to make 3 or 4 concerts (I will show them to you soon), when we used to do that among in just one month, we could even do it in less time.

En el último año solo hemos podido realizar 3 o 4 conciertos (Que les mostraré muy pronto) , cuando habitualmente hacíamos esa cantidad en el plazo de un mes, incluso podíamos hacerlo en mucho menos tiempo.

However, we have done some virtual concerts like the one I showed you before, and I will continue showing more to you in future posts.

Sin embargo, hemos hechos algunas entregas virtuales como el que les mostré hace rato y en mis futuros post seguiré mostrándoles.
