If you want to improve your writing skills, you have to improve various things. I'll talk about a few of them.
Improve your vocabulary: Having a great vocabulary means that your writing will be precise. You can say much in fewer words which makes your post look attractive. It is sometimes difficult for the readers to get what you are saying when you use too many words for something that you can tell in a few words.
Improve your Grammar: A poor grammar reflects poor writing. If you improve your grammar, it will also improve your writing. Grammarly, a free tool, can detect and fix grammatical errors. I am not saying that you should entirely rely on Grammarly, but it can also be used as a source to learn from your grammatical mistakes and thus fix them.
Improve your writing style: This matters a lot! When you are writing something, you should reread it yourself. You should judge your writing as a reader and observe if it looks attractive. Write as you are talking to the reader, maintaining the tone of writing simultaneously. You can read different articles reflecting different tones to improve your writing style.
Format of Writing: You should be conscious of paragraphs while writing. When you make paragraphs, your writing looks decent and organized, attracting the reader to your writing.

I would suggest, first thing to do is reading the books of our own interest. While reading, there comes so many terms and words which we don't understand, for that consult a dictionary. This will helps to improve vocabulary. Secondly start writing diaries or anything on daily basis and use that vocab correctly in a sentence. Once you write, proofread it, check your spelling mistakes, make sure to add appropriate prepositions and vocabulary. And lastly practice more and more. As it is said rightly practice makes a man perfect

It helps to improve our vocabulary, grammar, knowledge and sentence structure as a result of which our writing skills are improved.
To improve your writing skills at first you have to put that in mind that keep reading new things by reading your mind will become open and by that, you will get new ideas which will help you in writing good things.
To improve your writing skills you should write daily as it will help you to increase your writing skills. You should keep practising and after one point your writing skills will become improved and by doing the practice you will also know where to use a comma, inverted commas etc.
You should make a daily habit of reading and writing to become perfect and to improve your writing skills. I also improved my writing skills by the things I wrote upwards.

Here is my take on How to improve writing skills?
Its been just a couple of months since I've joined steemit and what I learnt uptil now is that you can enhance your writing skills by using precise and meaningful vocabulary. You need to make your post attractive for the readers, by using appropriate styling patterns, Steemit Pakistan assets in the beginning and at the end (footer), you can also add assets in between when starting a new paragraph.
Make sure to add bold headings in a capslock, add headings in the centre and not on the extreme corners, it would make your post look more formal.
Lastly, avoid grammatical errors! The top-most noticeable thing in any post is the use of grammar. Try to make your writing look more professional. I personally don't like posts with informal language.
I think that the best way to improve writing skills is write daily about anything whatever you like, express your thoughts in the form of words and analyse them that if they are understood by others or not.
Also read other articles/books too to improve your vocabulary.
Just keep the consistency and you'll start feeling improvement in your writing skills.
