Assalamualikum! Stemians , hope you all are doing great . I took a long break from steemit but now im back. Steemit pak has announced a contest Helping hands and here is my participation post.
Its a everyday experience that children are found begging on streets traffic signals , honestly I've never been in favour to give money to them because unfortunately in Pakistan we have begging mafias. But now I've found a solution to this problem .
Everytime a child come to ask money , I ask them ( if they are muslim ) to recite KALMA TAYYABA ( first pillar of islam) ,and I was shocked that most of the children don't even know it. I always try to make them learn kalma with its translation and then if they get it right i give them some money. It feels so nice being a muslim to teach kalma to a child . Its also sadqah jariyah ( voluntary charity ) , in this way they get money and also learn about islam.
Since its a post about act of kindness I want to convey a message that please don't record or click pictures while helping someone its disrespectful . I see people filming while helping someone who is starving ,wearing dirty clothes, not even in a position to refuse. Its not act of kindness its a selfish and humiliating act.

Yes I say the same. Nowadays people are helping for their own projection sadly and that's decreasing their award.
I too get sm beggers on the way as you know too. I'll try the same as you said. It's really good and inspirational. Thank you for encouraging others to do something for others.
