I am a nationalist of Nigeria, to go deep Rivers state and in Rivers state, Port Harcourt, you can check goggle map for location. The festival about to share with you is been held in Port Harcourt where I stay as my residency, it's a fun place to be in, if you haven't been to Nigeria I urge you to come for this festival am about to share and I promise you, you will come every year the festival is been held.

Bole festival
I like to call it the festival of plantain, because you see various varieties of such to be precise the bole kind though, so this leads us to the question,

What is Bole

Bole is an african made dishes, usually associated with the yoruba tribe in Nigeria, it is simply roasted plantain which can be taking in various form which are:

• Bole and pepper sauce
• Bole and palm oil or even groundnut oil

• In my place, Bole is served with roasted fish, potatoes or yam and also pepper sauce 😋😋😋

• In akwa ibom is served with roasted chicken and pepper sauce 😋😋😋

The meal is a colourful one looking at it, is so calling it can make you finish your money because it states more than the way it looks.

Bole festival is a recent festival which was first founded by chinos iwuh and was launched by 300 people with 2 local street vendors of Bole in port harcourt in 2016, ever since it has been held yearly over 2000 people in attendance. The festival celebrates our urban cultures, it keeps our heritage when it comes to local dishes, it attract food lovers all around the globe, this festival also have other side attractions which bring about laughter and unity between attendees to give it the festival feeling 😎😎😎, such attractions are; dancing, comedy, food competitions, games for both adults and the young as well as valuable networking opportunities, it brings alot of food vendors for the festival that is providing them a large spot to sell their Bole delicacy, which help them up their sale to 200% of their average monthly sale.

Advantages of holding the Bole festival

• It promotes unit among attendees
• It is source of entertainment
• it brings about high profit for vendors hereby eradicating poverty little by little
• it promotes African culture and heritage
