Steemit Engagement Challenge - Muslim's Festival
Hello Everyone.
This is @irsaumar with the entry for week 2 of the engagement challenge. As we all Muslims have recently said goodbye to the Holy Month of Ramadan and Eid ul fitar was few days back so i think its best time to call it my favourite cultural festival.
Culture of any country shows specific values, virtues likes and dislikes of that country. Each nation has its own culture. In the same way being an independent nation, Pakistan, it comprises of very diversified cultures. Pakistani society is a mixture of distinctive areas and tribes, for example, Sindh, Punjab, Khyber Pakhtun Khan and Balochistan. All these areas have their own culture but The culture which is same in all these is to celebrate both Eids.Eid ul Fitr and Eid ul Azha
As a girl my favorite cultural festival is Eid ul Fitr. This Eid is also called Meethi Eid.
Eid-Ul-Fitr😍
Eid-ul-Fitr is a religious festival for Muslims and it is celebrated at the end of Ramadan after fasting and on 1st of Shawwal of every Islamic month. This is a gift from Allah Ta'ala to Muslims for fasting in Ramadan. We Muslim try our best to do all the acts of kindnedd in full 30 days of Ramzan Sharif .
Zakat
Zakat is obligatory on Muslims .In the month of Ramadan, Muslims pay money to poor Muslims as Zakat.Zakat is a payment made annually under Islamic law on certain kinds of property and used for charitable and religious purposes, one of the Five Pillars of Islam.Due to the payment of Zakat to the poor, their long pending works are completed. Because they are given more money so that they too can spend Eid well .
Chand raat
Ramadan Sharif ends on the moon night,Sometimes twenty nine and sometimes thirty . And it is estimated by seeing the moon .As soon as the moon is seen, a wave of happiness runs among the children, both women and men. Women quickly start applying Mehndi and start making something sweet for Eid. When men get busy in getting a haircut, due to which there is a lot of fury in the cutting salon of men.
Mehndi designs on my hand from some past eids
0n the Eid day
On eif Morning Eid prayers are offered early .Before offering Namaz one has to pay Fitrana. This is Eidi for the poor.Men offer namaz in mosques while women offer namaz in a house in the locality. After offering namaz w eid everyone meets each other on Eid and petty grievances are forgotten. And that's the beauty of Eid .
Sweets are eaten after that, people usually do not have proper breakfast on the day of Eid. Most people eat sweets .And then the process of going to relatives' house starts .Everyone tries their best to look beautiful on Eid .
Traditional dress
Preparation of girls on Eid is special .Girls who do not wear bangles and mehndi throughout the year, they also wear mehndi and bangles on Eid. Girls' colorful bangles and hands with mehndi make the beauty of Eid even more.Mehndi is applied to small girls and they are mostly made to wear our traditional dress Salwar Kameez, due to which they look very beautiful and cute.
Traditionall dresses made little girls even more cute.
Sweets and Barfi
On the day of Eid, when someone goes to each other's house, they take some sweet sweets or barfi with them. it's an expression of love .This is how we Muslims share our happiness among each other .
Eidi
To receive eidi on my eid used to be my favourit part. Then I had to take eidi did not have to give it to anyone .But now my brothers have children, because of this I have to give eidi to many children. After giving, it feels great to see the happiness on the faces of the children.
Thanks everyone for reading, Comment and vote to support me.
With kind regards
@irsaumar

Indeed these are our happy occasions and we should enjoy these along with all the less fortunate by helping them and take care of their basic needs. And that is why I like the Zakat part the most.
The kids with those beautiful dress can not be ignored. May they remain happy as the looks forever Ameen!

I've written on the same topic, kindly have a look and appreciate if you like it!
Thanks in advance :)
Mehndi and Bangles make the Eid look complete and people judge me as I don't usuallyt apply or wear these. Bangles make me uncomfortable and no time for mehndi on chaand raat. 🤷🏻♀️
Eidi and lots of food are my favourite things about this Eid.😂
Hahaha
