Pakistan Army, if not victories, they have given the young generation a lot of happy stories and songs to be happy and proud of. We have heard about a lot of stories of how the soldiers of Pakistan Army sacrificed their lives for thus country. I'm sure these must be true as after so much stability during the 73 years of independence, we're still a free country and our neighbors or any other superpower hasn't taken over us yet.

But, the young generation, the generation that includes me as well, hasn't seen much wars in which the Pakistan Army has engaged itself into, or maybe our soldiers really are protecting the borders and we're just unaware of it. We live in the biggest and the nost important city of Pakistan, that is, Karachi. I am stating Karachi as the most important city due to it's revenue generation, trillions of per annum tax generation but because it's a port. Or maybe, also because of the prior mentioned reasons. Anyway, in Karachi, the only interaction we have had with army is when the guards forcefully stop our cars on road si that an armed officer can pass freely. Or when we get scared of an armed personnel as he threatens us due to his power.

Well keeping this aside, one thing that I completely agree on is that the Pakistan army has spent a lot on it's welfare. By it's I mean, all the officers and captains and majors and brigadiers and their families. For a minute, you look at Karachi after rain and then you enter the Cantonment area, inhabitated by the Armed forces and their families. You'll not believe your eyes. It's a completely different world. And just by the way, by armed forces, I mean, the army, navy and the air force. They are in a seperate league. Similar to their residence, the armed forces' amusement parks and museums are also a lot different then all the other common parks of Pakistan. They have more budget allocated to them and as a result a much better management.

One of the most famous recreational park owned by the armed forces is known as the PAF Museum which is located right next to PAF base Faisal, a huge land occupied by the armed forces and their families. I visited this Museum in 2013 the last time. A few days back, it was raining in Karachi (it still is) and the weather was amazing. The city had drowned ofcourse, but we're used to it. Anyway, my mom wanted to go out and she suggested lets go to PAF Museum. We all agreed and in less than 20 minutes the whole family was in the car, heading towards PAF Museum.

PAF MUSEUM

The weather was heavenly. The rest of the family was in the car, but I wanted to enjoy this rain to the fullest so I traveled on bike. As I was on my bike, I got there first. Water was up my knees in the parking lot of the museum, but I didn't mind, considering how beautiful the weather was and it was drizzling at that time. There's a parking ticket as well as the entry ticket to this museum. I ourchased 6 tickets for my family which costed me:

QuantityPkrSteem
11002
Total (6)60012

But wait, they never miss out on the oppurtunity to appreciate our amazing Pakistan army. There was clearly mentioned on a noticeboard that if you're from an Armey family, your ticket will be halved. I mean...

Anyway, the park inside was heavenly. It was raining cats and dogs, I had my family with me. The park was extremely clean and there weren't many people around. The historic preserved aeroplanes and tanks and missiles were waiting for us to gawked upon. I took pictures of as much planes I could with their historical fact and importance. I'll post them in Chronological order here:

Honestly looking at all this weaponry, I was so fascinated. Read about each and everyone of them and for a moment I started to feel patriotic again. I was wondering, there, under the rain, that families who had their grandparents fighting in the 65 or 71 wars. When their grandparents tell them stories about their experiences in the war and when they visit this Museum, looking at all these tanks and missiles and actually recognizing them, how fascinating it must be for them to narrate all the stories to their families.

Anyway, we moved further into the park and sat on a bench where we consumed tea, bread and omelette that we had brought from home. It was raining cats and dogs as I mentioned and honestly I hadn't felt like that in a long long time. To have your family around in such beautiful weather is truly a blessing. There we clicked a few photos and I also saw an extremely beautiful monument located at the end of the park.

After taking pictures we moved to the cafeteria whete we ordered Zinger Burger, French fries and Cornetto. It was mesmerizing to eat in open air in this weather minus the flies.

@huzaifanaveed1 - 32 minutes ago there was a mention notification of @steemcurator01 - and now it doesn't appear.

Why was that? Surely not to attract the attention of sc01...

DO NOT TAG @steemcurator01 or 02 UNNECESSARILY

We really should not need to be telling this to a newly appointed Country Rep.

 2 years ago (edited)

Yes it was a mistake from my side which I realized almost as immediately as I did it, as I shouldn't have done it especially as a CR. That's why the tag disappeared :))

You haven't seen me tagging sc01/02 unnecessarily (except for this) have you?

We have observed this same disappearing tagging in the past...

I'll make sure this doesn't happen in the future. I understand it was wrong from my end and it's not what one wants do as a CR. Thank you for calling out and being patient.

I can write a whole post negating your toxic views about armed personnels. But I won't. Just hoping that no martyrs' relatives get to read your views because they are a bit harsh.

However, I would like to add that Faisal Base is always flooded like anything in rainy season. I wish I had taken pictures. 😛

Toxic and a bit harsh, but aren't my views factual 👀? Only recently our respected COAS had a meeting discussing a national song competition xD

Hahahaha, I wouldn't know that, wo kya haina I'm not allowed to go inside easily. Next time aap yahan hon toh take pictures 😂😂

Nope. They are superficial. I might agree with some points but mostly you just exaggerate things.

I told you before as well that the story changes on higher levels and you judge the whole organisation based on that.
There are bad people everywhere but no, let's demean the ones in forces, right? Because you are not allowed in their vicinities or get discounted tickets.

Bura lgay ga but fact btaon tou jo hmaray haseen areas nazar atay hain wahan civillians allow krden tou wo haseen na rahain. Sb discipline upar neechay. Hmari awam danday pe chalti hai aur fauji bhi danday se he seedha hua hota hai.

I told you before as well that the story changes on higher levels and you judge the whole organisation based on that.

I judge the officers, never the soldiers. Even in this post I didnt judge the jawaans. Apart from that, I only mentioned the lies we have been fed about the wars. If you have read about Indo-Pak history through neutral neans you'll agree with what I am saying. Where have I demeaned the soldiers? I respect our martyrs and also those who fight for the country.

Bilkul bura nahi laga. It's a fact, ye qoum dande ki hai. I don't mind charging more from civilians, I just ask for my basic right, ie, Respect. Mostly civilians ko respect nahi milti inse as a person. Status se judge hote hain. For instance, the behavior completely changes as soon as I mention I'm a doctor. Why's that? :))

Buttt, you're right, I am trying slowly to get the negative perspective out of my mind, nahi toh kisi ka kuch nahi hoga, men hi khush nahi reh paonga. It's just that I have never seen other people defending their professions like the way army waale apne aapko defend karte hai xD
Why's that?

I judge the officers, never the soldiers.

Why officers? You know, in the past year, I have seen three martyrdoms very closely. Not jawans, they were officers. Anyways, it's another story which I don't want to talk about because I haven't still recovered from that incident.

If you have read about Indo-Pak history through neutral neans you'll agree with what I am saying.

I know about it and I'm not proud of it. Again, you can't judge every officer based on that.

For instance, the behavior completely changes as soon as I mention I'm a doctor. Why's that? :))

In these times if you manage to earn halal ki roti then you should be proud of your profession.
Baqi there are some serious behavioural problems with us South Asians which will take several generations to resolve.

It's just that I have never seen other people defending their professions like the way army waale apne aapko defend karte hai xD
Why's that?

Maybe because outsiders see only our little perks, they don't see our daily struggles.

Maybe because you posted something similar few months back and I read it right after that incident I mentioned above. I didn't react then but to be honest I stopped reading your controversial posts for a while to maintain my sanity.

You are a great author but very controversial. XD
