Steemit Engagement Challenge Week 2 || Share your Country's Culture by @badmus-official
Hello everyone in this great welcome, welcome once again to another entry of my contest in the engagement challenge season 1 week 2, the previous week's challenge has given many users the opportunity of learning new things about themselves and as well has exposed us to understand the great thing about each other countries. last week we discussed the reason and changes we had love to see in individuals countries where a lot participated and share there country burdens with each other.
This week, we shall be discussing our favorite culture in the particular country, as I had discussed last week, I am from Nigeria which is a country located in the western part of Africa, if there is anything Nigeria or Africans at large could boast of, is the level of our culture as we had been know to have the uttermost respect for elders, but today, I won't be discussing the country culture per se, but discuss the religion culture and how it is practiced in my country.
I cannot literally limit the eid celebration to Nigeria thing alone, as we all know that this is celebrated all over Islamic countries and where they practice Islam.
The Eid festival is a festival that occurs everywhere, the history was brought back during the days of the Holy Prophet when we are required to be submitted to God through welfarism, this is done in as to tell how those who couldn't be fed themselves feel as well, the Eid celebration occurs after the days of the RAMADAN month.
The RAMADAN month is a month of pureness in Islam, the Ramadan month occurs in the 9th month of the Islamic calendar year, which comprises 29 or 30 days, in these days, Muslim practitioners are to stay away from food from sunlight till sunset which after the Ramadan period, the eid celebration comes with it.
Eid is celebrated on the first day of the month after Ramadan which is the SHAWWAL month, the 10th month on the Islamic calendar, the eid celebration of the year 2022 occurs on May 2, 2022, whereby the Ramadan for 2022 started on April 2, 2022, and ended May 1st.
At the early hour of the eid day, all Muslims are required to match towards the eid ground or the central mosque in the region in their purest outfit,
These require some to get a new dress or spray some bunch of nice perfumes, dress in kaftans, then afterward, they all convey to the eid ground and perform the eid prayer.
There get to be a sermon for some minutes before the eid prayer starts, then we all stood to perform 2 rakats of salat in honor of the holy prophet.
Then after the eid prayer, we all make the final prayer before matching back to our destinations, in which we go home to our loved ones after.
The way to honor this celebration is by taking several pics with family and friends in honor of remembering eid 2022.
After the celebration from the mosque, we all go back home with special dishes and enjoy a meal feasting for the rest of the day
Eid celebration is an annual celebration that is widely celebrated by practicing Muslims in the community, the celebration starts at the end of Ramadan which means the first day of Shawwal, this occurs every year in the Muslim calendar history, but the date is not fixed with the normal calendar as the Islamic calendar rotates with the moon, while the sun calendar uses the sun rotatory of the earth, so there is always occurrence of different date for the eid celebration in the solar calendar.
