If I personally talk over my experience keeping the rank of zoom at the side. I love Google Meet. The meet is easy to access It has been giving a smooth call service.
There is no time limit. Like in zoom one session is of 40 minutes ig so if you have to discuss something in detail. it's done in chunks.
And I guess this whole impression about meet is because I have been using it since the pandemic has begun.
I believe majorly it's on the usage that I have used meet since starting and my sister is a teacher she's using zoom so whenever we both have words over this we are always on opp. She keeps telling benefits of zoom and I keep repeating of meet.

You have discussed it so well indeed zoom is also a great software having all the important features that an app should have. After reading this, thinking to give one more chance to Zoom :p
Yeah, I completely agree with your every point on Meet.
I didn't say that I dislike it, on the contrary, I prefer online classes on Meet more than on Zoom now due to the same reason you mentioned.
What set my mood off from Meet is that, when we started online classes back then, it was my first semester, everyone was new to the concept of online meeting. Some students used to kick out teachers as Meet didn't implement the admin option yet. It was fun at times but excess of it was just straight disrespecting the teacher and that was the sole reason, the university moved from Meet to Zoom.
Now, Meet has revamped its entire user interface and is way better and I also mentioned,
