All the tiredness of our travel was relinquished as the morning sun, shying away behind the foggy clouds left us hypnotized.

The morning breakfast was followed by an eventful day as we played games of archery, ludo and participated in Zipline adventures while enjoying the surrounding sceneries.

The Alpine Hotel 🏨

As time went by, more wonderful memories piled up. The third day of our trip was one of the most memorable ones as we planned lunch at Nathiagali's famous "Alpine Restaurant" about 90 mins drive from our hotel room.

Alpine is stunningly constructed with wooden decks/ ramps hanging above the peaky forest. Crowded like a bee hive, it took us 15 minutes to find a sitting place.

Behind the clouds under our feet the sun was settling down, the moment was even more fanatsized by local folk musicians playing mesmerising songs.
The folk Qawalis and on demand songs were even more romanticized when my husband dedicated me one.

Walk to Nathiagali Market:

The meal was followed by a lot of photography and a walk down the road to Nathiagali's bazar. I shopped while my husband looked and we had a final dessert with the famous Nathiagali's cone ice cream bar.

BBQ Party:

We reached back to hotel room around 2100 hrs, with a live BBQ already set in the hotel lawn. Tired as hell we still couldn't resist the temptation of BBQ grills on a cold misty night. We ended up playing antakahari (singing game) with a few friends we had made at the hotel.

The heavy downpour next morning limited us to our hotel but the flavour of cold, spiced by the mix of music and the magnificence of landscape captured my soul.

Waking up from a Spectacular Dream:

However, all good things come to an end. We decided to travel back and as soon as we experienced the scorching sun of Peshawar with our jobs awaiting the next morning, it felt like waking up from a spectacular dream.
