Weekly engagement contest {10% to @steemit-pak}

Some days ago I saw a weekly engagement post of topic 'New year resolutions'. It looked like a great topic so I started writing about it. Just when I had written almost half of it, fortunately I saw the deadline of that contest which showed that the contest had already ended 8 hours ago. I felt kinda sad at that time but here @steemit-pak came up with an amazing and interesting topic again.

The season of winter has always been my favourite due to many reasons.

1. The main reason that many karachities would agree that we face hot weather almost 8 to 9 months a year which makes us hate it at some point and we eagerly wait for windy and cold weather. So I'm one of those people who are always tired of summers.

2. Winter is the season of weddings. People especially in my surroundings get married in the months of November and december mostly. And I also like it. Becuase wedding is not a matter 2 to 3 days but relatives and cousins spend weeks together. I've experienced a wedding of my mamu in summers and that was unbearable. It was a month of August and we couldn't stay in nani's house for long because of hot weather. I couldn't sleep and enjoy with my cousins. And most of all your makeup becomes cakey or so bad due to excessive oil in weddings. And if someone says that Air conditions are available now, what's the issue? So not everyone can afford Ac in all the rooms for days and nights as so many guests stay in a house where wedding is being arranged.
   I also prefer weddings in winter so that we can enjoy and sleep together with cousins under a blanket.

3. Winter brings a new fashion. We can wear beautiful hoodies, jackets and other fluffy garments in which we really look different and good. Besides you don't really need to take care of your body (if I talk about girls only) because these kind of things work like an armour and keep us safe.
   I've a number of jeans and shalls which are of no use the whole year but I only can wear or take them in winters which are like just 2 months in karachi.

4. Tourism is common during winters. Many families visit northern areas of pakistan like hunza, sawal velly and kashmir during snowfall. We've also gone for pakistan tour in December and January for like many times. We even celeberated new year 2016 in our train from karachi to Lahore. So for an adventurous person like me, winters are too much fun as I get to play with snow and visit hill areas.

5. Face and makeup remains fresh for a longer time in winters than summer. Yeah in winters you're free from this tension that your subaceous glands will secrete extra oil and your face would look oily and dusty.

6. I really like when family members gather to take coffee everynight in winters. Making a good coffee is another level of effort no matter how many beaters you have at your house. So I really like the taste of coffee and the way whole family enjoys it.

7. You're free from sweating and bad smell. Bad smell and I are good enemies you know. I just hate it! That's why out of the fear of sweating I take shower 2 times a day.

I think I need to stop here. 😀 I know if I don't force myself to get stopped, my list would go on and on lol.
I hope you've seen k I can give many reasons to show my love for winters. 💜

Besides these reasons in the fovour of winters, there are some drawbacks too as I think I feel cold more than others. So some of the disadvantages for me are
• It is very very hard for me to make ablution for namaz e fajar. Sadly I miss good number of prayers because of cold. 🥶
• It becomes almost impossible to wakeup happily for college/university and to leave my blanket. ☃️
• We become dependent on warm/hot water and use it to take bath, wash clothes, dishes and many more. 💦
• I Spend too much on moisturisers. 🙊

Well the reasons mentioned above are not enough to make me hate winters or reduce my liking for them.

One more thing, Although I do like winters but I'd never want extreme cold weather as is it too harsh for homeless and poor people and it becomes very difficult for them to survive.
