Friends, hope you all will be happy. Friends, right now I am traveling and today again I have come towards Ajanta village. There are very famous caves in Ajanta village in Maharashtra city, about 100 kilometers away from Shambhaji Nagar, which are called Ajanta Ellora caves. There are a total of 29 caves of Ajanta-Ellora which are believed to have been built before 200 BC. The United Nations has also included these caves in the World Heritage Monument. Out of these 29 caves, caves numbered 11, 12, 13 and 14 were discovered only in 1956.
These caves were built by people of Buddhist religion. Very good craft work can be seen in these caves. The sculptures in all these caves are made with craftsmanship and many of the sculptures have pavilions over them and many do not. It is believed that just like today we use posters on the wall for notification, at that time message was given to the community only by making statues on the wall. It looks like beautiful designs have been made on the idols and ornaments have been put on them. Statues in various poses in standing, sleeping and resting positions.
It seems to us that these stones must have been brought from somewhere one by one and such a big cave has been built, but let me tell you that in this entire cave, no material has been brought from outside but only 29 rocks. These caves were made by cutting. I have not seen any chemical or physical renovation on any idol anywhere in these caves. The broken idol has been kept in the same condition and no renovation has been done on it. Looking at these caves it becomes clear that there was a lot of technology in ancient India.
