Hello everyone! First of all, I want to apologize for being inactive for a Long time. Due to university projects and other commitments, I couldnt find time to stay active. However, a close friend recently encouraged me to rejoin Steemit and put some hard work. When I logged in, the first thing I came across was this contest:

What is better: Business or Job?

Let me share my story. Three years ago, in 2021, when I joined university, my goal was to become a developer. Like many others, I was driven by the desire to make money and achieve financial success.

In 2023, I took my first job at a small software house. My main focus was on learning. During the interview, when asked about salary expectations, I simply responded, You can decide that I don't need it xD. My priority is to learn. And I meant it. My job involved night shifts from 10 PM to 6 AM, and those eight hours were really demanding.

During my internship, I worked for a full month and earned 8,000 PKR. At the time, even that amount is small, given the effort I was putting in. However, I quickly realized that in a job, you often feel like a servant to your boss. You have little control over your work. For example a colleague handling marketing and he secure a $100 project from one of the client but we barely saw a fraction of that as our own earnings. At the end of the month, all you receive is a fixed salary.

My Opinion

So, if I were to give my opinion it would be that I love business. In business, you are not bound to anyone. take Steemit as an example—many people think of it as a job but in my opinion, it’s more like a business. The harder you work the more you earn. If you don’t put in the effort you won’t gain anything and your efforts will go to waste.

A job does have some advantages such as fixed working hours, typically eight hours a day. However, downside is that if you do not complete your work on time you may have to finish it at home. At the end of the month, a job offers a fixed salary, whereas, in business, your earnings depend on the effort you put in.

In conclusion while both jobs and businesses have their advantages and disadvantages I believe business is the better option. A business allows you to earn more based on your efforts, while a job limits your financial growth to a fixed salary. In business, there is no fixed salary. Instead, your earnings are directly proportional to the effort, strategy, and innovation you put into your work. If you’re willing to take risks and work hard, the sky's the limit. For example, if you run a medicine business, you can expand beyond your local area, opening up more opportunities. In short, I prefer business because it offers greater financial potential and freedom. You can wake up late, take breaks, and enjoy more control over your life.
