Abdul Muttalib chose Hazrat Amina for the marriage of his son Abdullah, who was the daughter of Wahb bin Abdul Manaf bin Zahra bin Kilab and was considered the most distinguished woman of the Quraysh in terms of lineage and rank.
Her father was the chief of Banu Zahra both in lineage and honor. She left Mecca and came to Abdullah, but after a short time, Abdullah was sent by Abdul Muttalib to Medina to bring dates and he died there.
Some historians say that he had gone to Syria for trade. While returning with a caravan of the Quraysh, he fell ill and landed in Medina. And he died there. He was buried at the house of Nabighah Jadi.
At that time, he was twenty-five years old. According to most historians, the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) had not yet been born. However, some historians say that he was born two months before his death.
When the news of his death reached Mecca, Hazrat Amina recited a very painful lamentation which is as follows:-

Now death has not left among the people the like of Ibn Hashim (how regrettable it was) that evening when people were carrying him to the throne. If death and the events of death have ended his existence (then the traces of his character cannot be erased), he was very wise and merciful. "
The total inheritance of Abdullah was five camels, a herd of goats, and an Abyssinian slave girl named Barakat and nicknamed Umm Ayman (may Allah be pleased with her). This is Umm Ayman (may Allah be pleased with her) who nursed the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him).
