✨In the embrace of mother's love::-
After this incident, Halimah (may Allah be pleased with her) felt threatened and handed him over to his mother.
So, until the age of six, he was in the embrace of his mother's love. (Talqih al-Fahum p. 7 Ibn Hisham 1/168)
Here, Hazrat Amina decided to go to Yathrib and visit his grave in memory of her deceased husband. So, she traveled about five hundred kilometers to Medina with her orphaned child Muhammad (peace be upon him), her maid Umm Ayman (may Allah be pleased with her) and the dead body of her guardian Abdul Muttalib and stayed there for a month before returning, but she was just at the beginning of the journey when she fell ill. Then the illness intensified until she reached the place of Abwa between Mecca and Medina and passed away. (Ibn Hisham 168/1, Taqleeh Al-Fahum p. 7, Tarikh Al-Khudri 63/1, Fiqh Al-Sirah Al-Ghazali p. 13 and p. 50)
✨In the shadow of his grandfather's kindness::-
Old Abdul Muttalib reached Mecca with his grandson. His heart was burning with feelings of love and kindness for his orphaned grandson. Because now he had a new wound that had opened old wounds. Abdul Muttalib had such tenderness for his grandson that he did not have such tenderness for any of his own bloodline children. Therefore, Abdul Muttalib was not ready to leave him alone in the desert of loneliness in which fate had brought him, but he loved him more than his own children and respected him like an elder.
Ibn Hisham states that a throne was laid out for Abdul Muttalib in the shadow of the Kaaba. All his sons would sit around the floor. When Abdul Muttalib came, he would sit on the floor. In view of his greatness, none of his sons would sit on the floor, but when the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) came, he would sit on the floor. He was still a young boy. His uncles would catch him and take him down. But when Abdul Muttalib saw them doing this, he would say: Leave this son of mine. By God, his dignity is unique, then he would make him sit on the floor with him. He would stroke his back with his hand and would be happy to see his movements. (Ibn Hisham 168/1)
The Prophet (ﷺ) was only eight years, two months and ten years old when his grandfather Abdul Muttalib also lost his compassion. He died in Mecca and before his death, he had bequeathed to his uncle Abu Talib... who was the full brother of his father Abdullah, to provide for him. (Talqih al-Fahoom p. 7, Ibn Hisham 149/1)
