Food War
The good year has started with the New Year's Dive on January 1, 2025. The brand UNOX of sausages and soup, once promoted by the folk singer André Hazes, will have made a lot of money from it. Ten thousand tickets were available to step into the cold water in Schevening (or dive) and elsewhere in (as we call it) our cold frog country, hundreds of people of various ages also went into the cold water. It is an interesting phenomenon to see the Dutchman standing in his swimming trunks with a hat on while the reporter, wrapped in a winter coat, is shivering on the beach.
Are you up for it? ask the reporter (the question may be: how do you get so crazy?) opinion person answers the question that it is healthy but I doubt it given that there are ambulances everywhere to help those who succumb to the cold and cramps as quickly as possible or to take them to the nearest hospital.
Healthy.. . Swimming in cold weather is healthy but a cold shower every day for the rest of your life is just a step too far for the "healthy living" who prefers to participate only when the cap is on and the television is on and then... Is it time for UNOX. Pea soup or rather tomato soup and if possible a Gelderse smoked sausage or some knackwursts that taste like? No idea, but it does smell strange so it is better to go home and take a warm shower.
Slogan Unox: Knacks, the only sausage that remained simple...
If this is the face of UNOX and these are the people consuming it (better don't ask about the price of 1 can, I pass. After these commercials, I never bought the brand again. Unox? It's not worth the food war.

Hi, @wakeupkitty,
Your post has been manually curated!
You have no shame do you @ecosynthesizer? You don't give only take!
I asked more than once to explain why you pretend you give which you don't.
You have a fat wallet and rib of the little ones and only give to a few big fish.
Shame on you for promoting yourself and pretending you are a good person. You might say you are a good person and it's all for the project you run but a honest person would ask if people are willing to support and not rob the small ones while supporting the fat wallets!
The only reason why you upvote is because you earn!
-21, the red number, a fat wallet, every small Steemian would be caught for scam.
For sure you laugh at the idiots who fall for this unnoticed scam. What you achieve is you take a percentage of all those who work hard on their post. Didn't you earn enough?
To me, this is scam not more, nothing less.
A very interesting and informative article! Your observation and description of the New Year's Dive perfectly captures this unique aspect of Dutch culture. Greatly explained how challenging it is to dive in cold water and at the same time how it is associated with a brand like UNOX.
Your criticism of UNOX's slogan also seems quite reasonable and realistic. Such posts not only entertain but also give readers an opportunity to learn something new. Good luck with your writing. Hope to be gifted with such creative and enjoyable writing in the future.
Is this how you talk to friends if you answer them or give a reply to a question or like to ask something? Your comment doesn't sound as if you found it interesting more as if you "highlighted" parts of my text or what is shown. Can you write a comment that sounds more as if you read it and share your thoughts? Thank you and a happy new year.

It's my understanding that this is done all over the world but as someone that has tried it, I can say that I don't really have what it takes. Mine wasn't even in the open sea either. It was just an ice-plunge cafe where they have the units available for you to rent. It's actually quite expensive.
you are meant to go in there for i think it was 3 minutes but I didn't even make it to 20 seconds.. haha. I don't know how someone could get used to this but apparently a lot of people do.
I can't tell from your writeup, did you actually take the plunge yourself or are you just intrigued by it?
