Contest: Short Film Review - Mickey Mouse - The Karnival Kid
To me the Mickey Mouse of today is an annoying little creature and I find it hard to like him. The Mickey of years ago was a different character, one that made one laugh.
Mickey and Minnie Mouse both work on the Karnival, both do as they like and Minnie was im 1929 already emancipated.
Mickey sells hotdogs and his nose is pulled because he makes a fool of a guy.
After being punished he dares to spat at the man.
The modern Mickey wouldn't do such a childish act.
Best characters are the Hot dogs.
They bark, do tricks, behave like dogs
And the cats. Good for a serenade.
The short was produced in black and white by The Walt Disney Studio and released to theaters by Celebrity Productions. It is the ninth film in the Mickey Mouse film series, and the first in which Mickey speaks.

I appreciate your perspective on the evolution of Mickey Mouse! 🤔 It’s intresting to see how he has changed over the years. The classic Mickey had a certain charm and humor that seems to have shifted in todays portrayal. 😂 I can see how the antics of the past, like the hotdog-selling Mickey who pulls pranks, could bring a lot of laughter. 🌭
I also love how you highlighted the supporting characters, like the barkng hot dogs 🐶 and the serenading cats 🐱—they seem to add a whimsycal touch to the story! 🎶 It’s fascinatin to think about how different characters resonate with us as they evolve. Thank you for bringing this nostalgic carton to light!

What a good memory of Mickey Mouse! As for Donald Duck, I received various comics from my teachers when I was a child.
We had a weekly magazine of Donals Duck most children had it. So Donald was more famous with us. I liked the comics with his uncle Scrooge McDuck who can dive and swim in a safe with money and of course the witch trying to steal the very first coin he earned.

Uncle Scrooge Duck (it was zio Paperone in Italian, literally Uncle BigDuck😂) was an amusement😂
He's Scottish so greed is named after him and not Dutch 😁

Ha de ser, en su momento, algo innovador cuando Mickey comenzó hablar. A mi me gusta el Mickey moderno, bueno, no el tan moderno de esta época, sino el de los 80/90...
Mi sobrinas me dicen anticuada porque no me gusta para nada las que ellas ven de su época (2020-24)...
Dime, ¿has visto muchos capítulos de ese clásico?¿Que tal son?
