Spanish lessons through literature/creative writing: "clase n.11 primer acto"
Dear friend, I'm sorry for my absence. Since weeks, I'm afraid I'll be able to publish my Spanish lessons through literary story only once per month, because I must engage in a theory course due to the updating of my drivers' license. As I got it for the first time in 1996, my current country requires an updating course and an exam to the D.M.V I must pass. Sorry for the inconvenience, but let's follow with...
What about a little exercise, since this is the lesson n. 11?😂 Now that you are becoming familiarized with the Spanish language, I leave to you a precious tool that will serve you as a dictionary, a verbs conjugator, a spell check and various other languages utilities. But I'll follow to explain the slang and idioms from Argentina (and other Spanish speaking countries when there will be the need). And don't worry: if you don't have any free time to study, I'll follow to post the English translation of the story.
Here the tool:

Slang and idioms:
NARANJA: it's the slang for NADA = NOTHING
POR ENCIMA: it's the regular Spanish lexicon to say COMO SI NO FUERA SUFICIENTE, COMO SI NO BASTARA = IN ADDITION.
DEBAJO DEL TAPETE: literally, it means UNDER THE RUG/UNDER THE MAT, but in such a case like this it means what's hiding behind those curious circumstances.
Here the video-slide with the pronunciation (I chose a view from the Caminito neighbourhood):
I registered the pronunciation and to do the video-slide I added an image of Caminito from Pixabay, among those can be freely used. You find it here:

Video-slide prepared with the free tools Slideshow Creator and ClipChamp default for Windows11.
Did you read the lesson and watched the video-slide? Very well, let's go now to see the English translation🤗:
DIEGO'S DIARY (=EL DIARIO DE DIEGO): lesson n.11 first part (=clase n.11 primer acto)
My dear friends, days pass by without the least trace of Mr. Isidro, Miguel's father. And in addition, I haven't seen my best friend for days either. He doesn't come to school anymore. The teachers told us that Miguel and his mother went on holiday. But Miguel would never have left like that, without saying goodbye to me. His best friend. But how so? Vacation? What kind of vacation? Miguel's family is as poor as mine. They don't even have enough money to go to Caminito. Something's wrong and my parents and my grandmother must know what's hiding behind such a curious story, but they aren't willing to say half a word to me.

Ps.: Caminito is a picturesque neighbourhood of the La Boca quarter, in the district of Buenos Aires. I visited Caminito while I was living in Buenos Aires with my mother's relatives.
