RE: Comment contest//Rock music genre

@khursheedanwa My choice is the British band MUSE. I love that these guys don't hold back and don't conform to imposed standards - they experiment, and with every new album, you can never be sure what you'll hear. Their music incorporates not just rock but also jazz, electronic, classical, and even blues. Undoubtedly, they are some of the biggest experimenters of our time, and it's no surprise they have a ton of awards, including Grammys. Their lyrics often touch on politics, dystopian themes, conspiracies, aliens, and, of course, love. In 2019, I had the chance to attend one of their concerts in Lisbon, part of their Simulation Theory tour. While their albums are more moderate and not as hard-hitting, their live performances are pure rock - really intense rock! The experience was indescribable and something every rock music fan, whether they like the band a little or a lot, should see and hear live. For me, Matt Bellamy's voice, which is soft and atypical for rock standards, fits perfectly with the music they create. This makes their music appealing even to people who don't usually listen to rock. Matt is also the driving force behind their music and lyrics. What I know about him is that after his parents divorced, he grew up poor, which made him promise himself that he would never live like that again. His father was a musician, and that's where his passion started - first with the piano, then with the guitar. I should mention here that Matt holds the world record for smashing the most guitars during a single tour - 140 of them! 😃This happened during their Absolution tour. For me, MUSE is undoubtedly a phenomenon that has been shaking up the music scene for over 20 years and rightly remains at the top! 💗🎶

Hi @kozankzdra,

Great to read this review about MUSE and listen to the music while typing you this message! It's clear you are a big fan and I am here with you. 😁
I agree with what you write about Matt's voice it'sjust a pity of all those guitars. I consider them pieces of art.

🍀♥️

A brilliant voice in perfect harmony with the music. And Matt is a true rock star 😁 - though quite different from the rock dinosaurs. And that's the beauty of it - a different vision, a modern sound, and breaking stereotypes. What's interesting about them is that during their first two albums, critics from Pitchfork and Rolling Stone made some pretty biting and condescending comments, outright saying that the band wouldn’t go far... Well, today, 20+ years later, we can see where MUSE is, and those critics should be somewhere hiding in shame, crying in a corner.
Thanks for reading my post.

Thanks for sharing another song. I listened to it, it's good to have a great musical break in between mainly reading and commenting. I love the sound of the guitars and drums most but together it's a bouquet for the ears and soul.
I just added my entry. I hope you like my choice as well.

I wonder if there are rock lovers here, I never heard anyone mention it.

I replied to your previous post))) Great choice!

That's really great to know from you that British band MUSE is your inspiration!
You have also shared that what themes of music this band choose but I am curious to know that how in rock music police can play a role!
Well an excellent participation from you!

Is that a question or a statement? I didn’t understand what you meant about the police. Thank you.
