How are you?Hope so everyone would be safe and sound just like me as I am also safe Alhamdulillah....
Today this is I am organizing another interesting contest so that I may see some of the most interesting entries.
- Share your favourite music artist which relates to classical music genre and share one song of that artist in comment section!
Here are a list of guidelines that you have to follow for participating in this contest!!

Classic music or classical music? I listen to music and mainly the 80s at times a bit older. It's not the music of the period I grew up with more like my mom's. Are we raised with classical music? My younger siblings were mainly my brother. They say it's good for the mood and you will remember/like it for the rest of your life. True? I can tell you it's not the same if it comes to reading. We were raised with stories and me and my brother doesn't like to read and his music taste is more like mine. Classic I won't call it, at least not the Beethoven and other composers. He does listen to music from the 80s and older by now who knows he will end up where he started?
My laptop broke down (it's the end after all those years) as I tried to show him a film on Netflix. Positive was I found the "Moulin Rouge" DVD back I was looking for to watch with @wakeupkitty and my sibling.
Let me share something classical. I hope you enjoy it.

I'm sorry for your laptop, dear friend...
It did the job for longer than expected. It was time to die. Worked to watch Netflix but the old ones struggle to have access to internet. Still options left. A great year to you.
Classic music...one of my very favourite genre. It can't be different, as I play the violin since the age of 11 years old (well, not that to thrill, wait, I'm not Paganini😂: I had to stop along 16 years cause familiar and personal circumstances, but I rekindled the playing 2 and half a year ago). During my teens I also was a music academy student and then, as a young adult, I was the official violinist of the church I attended in my former country, an international Presbyterian. And now I'm thee violinist in my Methodist. My favourite classic musician? Obviously, Ludwig van Beethoven! Despite his deafness, he has been the greatest compositor of his genre. His concerts for orchestras take us to the moon...I'd like to have more free time (I terribly lack free time, that's the story of my life😂) to listen to my favourite classic music. I leave you with Beethoven's symphony n.9, his greatest opera:
The orchestra here is directed by Riccardo Muti, one of the best conductors of our times.

When you say classical music, what genre do you mean? could vallenato fit in there? that's the genre I like.

Vallento is a kind of folk music while classical music falls under category of harmony, melody etc so it is not completely fit in this genre!
Andrea Bocelli's songs fit into the classical music genre? as that is another singer whose music I like.
Why don't you share a video and write a bit more? I like him as well and it is classical music to me.
During my childhood it was normal to listen to claasical music and watch opera. On Sunday mornings over a longer period an opera was brascasted.
Di Zauberflöte (the Magic flute) I saw on theatre while sitting in one of the first rows. Papageno I still love him and his appearance.
There was a period they said only fat people could sing opera and produce the right tones and volumes (big people big lungs) now we know it's nonsense
Papageno (the male) misses love (a life partner) and decides to end his life if there's no Papagena to complete him. He counts to three

Papgeno is the man (dressed like a bird) looking for a wife (her name is Papagena). So in this case he is the head character of this classical story.
This is een opera in two parts by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (an opera is play and instead of talking the actors sing). According to AI "(?)
I could not find this info back in the Dutch Wikipedia but I can imagine it's true and Wolfgang (Austrian) did the music.

This statement actually got me laughing.. funny enough I even think is the opposite because most of the shows I’ve watched on tv, slim people have always been the winner.
Well, I’ve never seen a live opera before, I don’t really like it . The chances of me sleeping while watching them perform is 90%. 😊

You are too young and live in a different world. I find it hard to believe you will fall asleep if you watch an opera. It's a play where people sing instead of talking, for sure the more modern musical is based on it.
I believe it's mention in a comic "Kuifje" as well that only BIG people can sing...

Sound of music.. one of my childhood favorite movie. If it’s up to me, I won’t classify it under opera. Sound of music was so interesting from the beginning till the ending.
My mums all time favorite was “king and I”.. that’s another musical film i could remember when I was much smaller.
I did not say it's opera but the follow up/more modern version of opera just like modern music has classical music as it's basis. Take Queen for example.
