CRICKET IN RUSSIA with NUWAN KULASEKARA (our cricket hero)

When it comes to cricket, it is the most popular game among the Sri Lankans. In Russia the story is totally different. The people even never heard about a game called cricket in Russia few years ago. But in the past decade or so people who lives in Russia from Asian continent tried to organize some cricket tournaments in this part of the world to promote this marvelous game. In recent times Russian people at least have heard the name Cricket and have a rough idea how its being played.

The university of Patrick Lumumba or the RUDN university annually organizes a cricket tournament among 8 countries including Sri lanka. In my student life, we won 3 times championship out of 5 tournaments. This picture is taken when our cricket Hero NUWAN KULASEKARA has arrived for the price giving.
