One of my interests – Gold collection

Hello, friends. We all have different interests, such as collecting stamps, antiques, pictures, and mugs, among other things. One of my greatest passions is collecting gold. This hobby began when I was young. At my elder sister’s big girl party, my father gifted her a gold chain. When he placed it around her neck, I saw how beautifully it shone and how it enhanced her appearance. That day, I longed to wear a gold chain myself. I hoped my father would give me one on my big girl party but instead, he gave me a wristwatch. I believe he couldn't afford a gold chain at that time, as our family had grown to seven members.

Eventually, when I started working, I kept a small portion of my salary for myself and gave the rest to my mother. By saving a little each month, I was able to accumulate a significant amount. One day, I handed all those savings to my mother and asked her to buy me a gold chain. I still recall how her face lit up with surprise and a smile. Soon after, my parents gifted me a beautiful gold chain. From then on, I made it a habit to save a percentage of my salary each month to buy different gold items like pendants, bracelets, chains, bangles, coins, rings, and bridal necklaces. Now, it has become a hobby of buying a gold, when I have extra money.

By this time, I have large collection of gold, which I kept in a local bank hiring a safe box; otherwise, those gold may be stolen by robbers. When my grandchildren’s birth or any other party I make it a habit to offer them pendant, ear studs or panchyuda for their celebrating occasions.

Purchasing gold is more than just a way to save money; it is also an effective investment plan. While the value of money might fall over time, the value of gold often rises. That is why I see this behavior as an investing strategy. One day, my gold collection will be a significant asset to my children in times of need. I recommend you to try this activity as well, because it is more rewarding than simply saving money.
