Steem Sri Lanka Year-End Contest | Looking Back at 2021

The year 2021 is over and the year 2022 is just a few days away.
Although last year was not as successful as I expected and work could not be done as expected, due to COVID, some facilities were provided inside Sri Lanka so that some work could be done quickly. Especially now that we have the ability to do a lot of work online.

Since 2021 started with COVID, I think it took a while for Sri Lanka to get used to it.
I was able to complete my diploma I started at the beginning of this year. After that, I did not join a separate company as I was able to work on some projects for several companies. While doing that, I wanted to learn about Linux, ethical hacking, servers, and networking. Because I work from home and have time, I took several online courses.
Many people ask why a person doing software engineering does CCNA (an exam done by people doing network engineering). I thought it was really important for all of us to improve our networking skills.

Over time, I had to get busy. Somehow, time flew by like that. My grandfather, whom I loved very much, also separated from us this year. That was on April 25th, 2021. Months have passed, but I still feel like Grandfather is with us.
Due to COVID and for various reasons, many valuable artists as well as many valuable lives in the field of health have passed away. I feel really sorry about that.

Days and weeks went by fast with COVID and we have come to the end of the year. It was in November that I got a little freedom. Somehow, I got some free time, and I went for a little walk with Roshani. The end of her final exam really gave us both a lot of freedom.

Due to this COVID situation, she did not like to go to the shops to have meals as usual, so we went to the Pizza Hut for two or three days. Because she believes that the hottest pizza is not much dangerous😁. Among those memories, something beautiful happened last week at Galle Dominos pizza. I think she had shared a post about it. Actually, that incident gave us an unforgettable and lovely experience.

At the end of the year, I also had the opportunity to meet my IJSE friends, including @ashen99. I think it was one of the happiest moments I had this year.

One of the most memorable events of 2021 was joining with Steemit. I was told about it by Roshani. Although I didn't know much about it at first, I joined Steemit last April because of my passion for writing and reading. Also, joining the Steemit charity project as soon as I joined Steemit was a new and different experience for me. The money I earned by sharing my experience on Steemit I spent entirely on my educational purposes. I firmly believe that it will be very important for my future.

This year has been a bit busy with my education and other activities, but I hope that next year I will somehow be able to manage all these activities and stay with Steemit. Regardless of the past year, I hope that the coming New Year 2022 will be a year in which everyone will be able to live well without these troubles. The experience I have gained this year will be of great help to me in facing challenges in the future.
