Hola amigos! Feliz inicio de semana. Hoy quiero contarles sobre como nuestros planes de fin de año de un día para otro cayeron al precipicio, jajaja.

Todos los años disfrutamos de la llegada de un nuevo año junto a mi familia materna. Nos reunimos, compartimos comida, bailamos con la mejor música y cuando se acerca la media noche preparamos las copas de vino para brindar mientras contamos de manera regresiva "5, 4, 3, 2, 1" y juntos alzamos nuestras voces en un "Feliz añooo".

Hi friends! Happy start of the week. Today I want to tell you about how our end of the year plans fell from one day to the next, hahaha.

Every year we enjoy the arrival of a new year with my maternal family. We get together, share food, dance to the best music and when midnight approaches we prepare glasses of wine to toast while we count down "5, 4, 3, 2, 1" and together we raise our voices in a "Happy New Year".

Este último año ocurrió de manera diferente. A inicios del mes de Diciembre nos enfermamos de covid, mi papá fue el último en presentar síntomas, muy cerca de navidad. Cuando el médico lo evaluó nos notificó que debía guardar reposo durante 3 semanas como mínimo, por lo que no pudimos viajar para celebrar junto a nuestra familia.

No fue fácil, ya que es una hermosa costumbre que nos gusta conservar, pero sabemos que era lo mejor por su salud. Al acercarse las 12 de la noche mi abuela y tías nos llamaron por teléfono para recibir el año nuevo y fue muy lindo sentirlas tan cerquita de nosotros.

This last year happened differently. At the beginning of December we got sick with covid, my dad was the last to show symptoms, very close to Christmas. When the doctor evaluated him, he notified us that he had to rest for at least 3 weeks, so we couldn't travel to celebrate with our family.

It was not easy, since it is a beautiful custom that we like to preserve, but we know that it was the best thing for his health. As midnight approached, my grandmother and aunts called us by phone to welcome the new year and it was very nice to feel them so close to us.

A pesar de no haber viajado, nuestros mejores amigos nos visitaron a las 10pm y nos dieron un caluroso abrazo de año nuevo (con mucho alcohol y cuidado, jejeje), escuchamos música y nos reímos en familia para pasar el rato.

Despite not having traveled, our best friends visited us at 10pm and gave us a warm New Year's hug (with a lot of alcohol and care, hehehe), we listened to music and laughed as a family to hang out.

Dicen que si salimos a la calle con maletas justo al momento de iniciar el año nuevo, tendrás muchos viajes en el año que empieza. Nunca lo había hecho, pero vale la pena intentarlo, jeje... Como no podía salir a la calle y tampoco podía correr por los efectos del covid que aún poseía, arrastré una mini maleta en la que guardo mis pestañas postizas (es mi secreto más tierno), con la esperanza de poder viajar por el mundo este 2022.

They say that if we go out with suitcases just at the beginning of the new year, you will have many trips in the year that begins. I had never done it, but it's worth a try, hehe... Since I couldn't go outside and I couldn't run either due to the effects of the covid that I still had, I dragged a mini suitcase in which I keep my false eyelashes (it's my secret more tender), with the hope of being able to travel the world in 2022.

Realmente espero poder lograr mi sueño de viajar, pero antes debo ahorrar mucho dinero, cosa que me propondré para los próximos meses. Mi meta serán, al menos 100$ por mes, aproximadamente 28 SBD.

I really hope I can achieve my dream of traveling, but first I have to save a lot of money, which I will aim for in the coming months. My goal will be at least $100 per month, approximately 28 SBD.
