Home made Burger | 10% for SL Charity

Even burgers are not originated in our country, I am sure there are so many people who loves burgers. And there are many types of burgers with different tastes. In foreign countries, Hamburger is so popular for it’s taste. These Hamburgers are considered as the original burgers and the origin of these are known as United State or Germany.

It is know as a kind of sandwich which has one or two grounded meat pattie and other veggies like onion, tomato and lettuce. Grounded meat pattie is made mostly out of beef. But here in Sri Lanka, so many people do not eat beef but prefer chicken. Therefore we can find more chicken recipes used for pattie.

Since we had to spend at home and since I live in a village we don’t have these fast-food restaurants near us. So, when we want to eat something like this, there is no option 😅. In a way it may be good for us also. For a while I missed going out with friends and eating these. At least I can make them and eat even friends are still missing.

So I watched many videos from YouTube and choose one from my one of favorite cooking channels. The hardest thing is making them for so long. Making them all at home. I decided to make a chicken pattie with cheese. Because I like cheese 🙈.

For making these patties there are types of chicken we can use. There is “Minced chicken” at the market, which is already grounded, or we can buy as normally and ground them using a grinder. I used the second method since I didn’t have a place to buy minced chicken.

My chicken pattie got brown instead of golden brown. I was afraid to get it off the pan quickly because I wasn’t sure whether meat is cooked well.

At the end it was tasty and everyone was full after eating just one burger 😁.
