For Mothers' Day | පියාපත් තැබු අම්මාට| 5% to SL charity

To be honest I had no memory about World mothers' day and the media unit of my university reminded me of the day. Each and every year we make a post for world mothers' day. Most of the time I do the creative writing part for our media unit and this is the poem I wrote for world mothers' day. Our media unit created it as a nice post.

කඳු මුදුන් වලටත් උඩින් ඉගිල යන්නට පියාපත් තැබු අම්මාට

බට්ටිත්තෙක් තරම්ම පුංචි කාලෙදි
බෝ එකක් ඇල්ලුව
කලු පාට මල් ගවුමක් අන්දා
ඔලුව උඩ සමනලයෙකුත් තියා
ලස්සනයි කියා
මගේ පුංචි හදවත
ආඩම්බරයෙන් පිම්බූ

ඉර පරද්දා උදේ ඇහැරී
සිය දහස් වරක් හිතින් පේවී
කොහේ හරි උන් දෙවියන්ටත්
මා රකින්නැයි පණිවිඩ තැබූ
ලොකු බෝල අකුරු තිබු
කතන්දර පොත් ගෙනත් දී
ලෝකයේ අරය වැඩි කළ

අම්මා..

මගේ ළපටි හිත නොතලා
ඒ තුළ මහා විශ්වයක් සිත්තම් කළ
සිත්තරාවිය නුඹය..
මම..
සංසාරයක්ම නුඹට ණයය.

When I was as little as a small bird, you dressed me in a black frock ,put a butterfly on my head and told me it was beautiful. My little heart was filled with pride!!!

you wakes up in the morning defeating the sun, and sent messages to the god requesting to protect me. The story books you brought me with big ball letters increased the radius of my world.

You are the artist who created a big universe in my little heart, without crushing it.
My mom, I owe you forever.!!

May the heart of every mother in this world be filled with love and happiness!!
