Along with the gas issue , Electricity issue , Fuel issue, Dollor issue the weather issue hits us hard. I feel it soo bad these days. It's soo sunny and warm after 9-10 in the morning. I feel it more because I'm in Colombo these days. I used to have something cool after school because I need a refreshment .
I couldn't find a place to have a fresh fruit juice after school. There's a FAB right infront of our school and I grabbed an orange juice from there. It was 140/- rupees nearly 0.45 USD. Taste was fine but it didn't taste fresh. But it was enough to quench my thirst.
On another day I found this trasure. It's කල්කිරි , one of most famous srilankan drink. It's a really popular drink among us when I was schooling. Highland කල්කිරි is the best and the chocolate flavor is my favourite. Surprisingly it was only 80 rupees. Pretty fair price comparing to current price rates.
At my recent visit to Onegalleface I got this drink from the indian food stall at food studio. It's a lime juice and it taste soo good. A Cool refreshing lime juice is ideal for sunny weather. It was 370 LKR / 1.4 USD approximately. Dindugal Thalpatkai is the name of the restaurant . It's mentioned that it's a famous old Indian restaurant chain.
These refreshments helped me in these sunny days. I can't stop having delicious refreshments when possible.
I think you feel very burdened by the hot weather. but I feel you are one of the lucky ones because you can enjoy a drink when it's hot 👍
