Life as a Teacher

Hello steemians !

It's been a while since I've been here. I used to write on steemit often long time ago but as I took a break from writing I think I lost my passion for writing. Now I am trying to take it back but In a better way.

After having my first appointment as a teacher on June life became busier and busier. Teaching is literally not a profession limit from 7.30 a.m to 1.30 p. m . Especially being a government teacher in srilanka is way different than being a teacher in a foreign country.

As a teacher my daily routine flows like this. Usually I wakes up at 5.30 a.m . Then get ready within 40 mins. As I wear saree it took a lot of time to be prepare. But now I can wear it quickly as short as 5-10 mins. I take most of my time to take a bath 😅😅. When I'm ready I leave home early around 6.20 a.m because I have to take two buses to school. My way to school is really beautiful. There are nice paddy fields and mountains beside the road to my school. As it is located in a village side area morning view is soo beautiful ❤️.

Working with students is a good experience but sometimes it's like fighting in a battle field 🥲. Anyway I'm greatful for what I'm doing now.
School ends at 1.30 p.m . It takes around 1 hour for me to reach home because I don't have a direct bus to home. Bus journey is soo tiring specially on sunny days. After having a bath , I take my lunch then relax a bit. This cycle continues for 5 days..
In my opinion the current system of srilanka government education isn't fullfing the needs of students specially in rural schools . Also school sub culture is also very different.As I have previous experience with a popular boys school in Colombo I can clearly see the difference from students. Students mindsets also different. I will elborate my view about students in a different post later. As I think students need more mind free and experience based education. But unfortunately we still expect suitable education reforms from this corrupt government.
