Hello Friends..!

Welcome back you all to my healthy food habits chapter again. If you read my previous articles, you may find some tips that I have given you to follow to maintain a healthy food habit.

    So, today I thought to share with you about fruits. The variety of fruits and their includes, what are benefits that you can get by eating those fruits are topic that I supposed to discuss today. I have discussed about lemons, strawberries and grapefruits in chapter 4. Let’s check more fruits through chapter 5.

    1. Pomegranate

    This is a delicious fruit and can be easily find in everywhere in Sri Lanka and I hope everyone eat this. They are very rich in antioxidants and polyphenols. Apart from that they contain fiber, potassium, calcium, vitamin C and K. You can eat them raw, making juice or adding them to salads.

    They help to protect your body from oxidative stress, cell damaging and also protect you from cancer.


    2. Bananas

    As a Sri Lanka we use bananas for important and traditional ceremony meals. Therefore, we more eat bananas than other fruits. Bananas contain potassium, calcium, magnesium and vitamin C. We can eat them raw or add them to fruit salad, making smoothies, pancakes and etc.
    By eating bananas, you can reduce the risk of cancer. Not only that helps to control blood pressure and reduce strain on the cardiovascular system. It supports your heart health as well.

    3. Blueberries

    Blueberries are another delicious fruit in the berry fruit family. In Sri Lanka it is very hard to find them even in a supper market. This fruit is a powerful antioxidant fruit like strawberries. They contain fiber, calcium, potassium, vitamin C as well. You can eat them raw or add them to cereals, making smoothies, adding desserts or yoghurts.
    By eating them you will receive protection from heart disease and cancer. And also helps to maintain bone strength, mental health and healthy blood pressure.

    I hope the information I have shared with you will help you to adjust your meal as a healthy meal. Taking a healthy meal is very important to avoid lots of dieses and also to maintain a good life.
