Havelock City Mall

This is the newly built shopping mall in Colombo. I hope most of the people around Colombo may have visited this shopping mall now. Though this mall is opened a few months ago, we couldn’t go there. Therefore, we thought to visit and get that experience.

As I heard this place was a crowded area when the days it was open to the public. But the day we visited there it was not a that much of busy area. I think the reason is normally when opening a new area, building, park or a shopping mall people used to go there. But after a few months there were few people there.

However, we went floor by floor. I feel the space of this place is lower than the One Galle face mall. The thing I have noticed in this place is it has some low-level brand shops compared to the One Galle face mall. In One Galle Face mall you can see lots of high brand level shops. Therefore, normally the people who is having low level economy just go there and have a walk. But I have seen that people really do shopping here.

We visited Spa Ceylon in order to buy a gift for our friend. I have never been to Spa Ceylon before. The decoration they have made in front of their shop catches the eye of everyone. We have tested different types of products. Actually, they have a nice smell, and the results of their products are also good too.

In the first two floors it contains different types of shops. Clothing shops, shoe shops, beauty shop and etc. The 3rd floor is mainly allocated for food shops. We saw a Pizza hut, ice cream shops, Indian shops and a restaurant called Thalappakatti there. Since we didn’t try any meal from Thalappakatti, we wanted to eat something there. Since it is Indian restaurant, we wanted to eat some Indian food. Then we ordered naan with butter chicken. Actually, our food is so yummy. Apart from the food area this floor has a kid area also.

The top floor is allocated for the theater. But still, it is not open to the public. It is nice to see this kind of constructions happen in our country otherwise only few people can get this kind of experience from another country.
