Trying Korean Food for the first time | 5% for SL Charity

Hello Steemians!

Sometimes I have heard people say "we do everything to eat". I can see, it can be considered as a valid statement. I also like to try different kinds of food rather than eating the same thing again and again. At this time, I and 3 of my university friends decided to try Korean food. We choose one of the popular restaurants called “Kang’s kitchen”. In this post, I will show you the types of food we ordered and my opinion about those.

1.Seafood Jamppong

This is a very popular Korean spicy noodle dish. This includes a red hot soup base with fried vegetables, seafood and mixed with noodles. For me, the taste was okay.

2.Korean Korndogs

I haven’t tried this kind of food before. It has a sausage inside and has a very sweet taste.​​There is nothing to complain about it.

3.Chicken Mandoo

This one’s taste is very good. I ate 4 of it out of 7. The portion has a unique taste. It’s much similar the what we eat here called Patis.

4.Boneless Kangpungi

It’s simply boneless chicken with a special source. It was the best dish I had here and I ate most of the portion of that dish because girls tried the pork dishes.

5.Mogsal Bokkem

It was a pork dish. There were small pork pieces and salad leaves. We have to wrap the pork inside these salad leaves and eat. I didn’t try this one also.

6.Hejang gook

This one is served with deep boiled pork backbone. Since I am allergic to pork (red meat), I don’t know about the taste. But girls said it was okay and not that much great.

7.Peach Ice Tea

I should mention that this drink was exceptional. The taste was really good and I really enjoyed it. If you also hope to go there, you should try this drink.

The overall Korean food experience was okay to me. But it’s not that special and not worth the money we spent. But those have a unique taste. I will attach our bill here to get an idea for you guys. Let’s hope to try different food on another day.
