I sold my google smart speakers

If you are following me from the beginning, you know I wrote about my google smart speakers in previous articles. I have used those for more than a year now. Sometimes I feel like I’m slowly getting away from my tech gadgets. At this time, I also feel the same. Let's see why I sold my google speakers.

For sure, two of my google home mini speakers served me a lot. When I ask to play some songs, it plays those. Turning on and off my lights are never being easier with this smart device. Setting alarms and timers were also really helpful. Playing podcasts and news were also very helpful to me. Kids were also loved this because it can play the sounds of animals when they ask.

With my busy schedule, I really missed this and I rarely use it. Because of this reason, I decided to sell these 2 speakers. I had two of them because I set them up as a stereo pair. In that way, I was able to get very decent sound output from these devices with stereo separation.

Another reason to sell these devices is that I own two apple homepod mini smart speakers. Since I’m really locked into the Apple ecosystem, it’s very hard to use other brands with my other devices. So, this is also a valid reason for selling. I am also going to sell my google Chromecast 3 also. If someone is interested, let me know.😉

I should mention that google’s language processing capabilities are far ahead of apple’s. That was my experience. But the sound quality, the microphone quality and the bass are very high in Apple homepods.

At last, these are only tools to make our life easier. We have to take decisions like this to keep going forward. I think I made the right decision.
