🌕 Let's make a MoonLight Lithophane using 3D Printing Technology ! | 10% For SL-Charity
Hello Steemians !
Today I am going to tell you how to make a MoonLight Lithophane using 3D printing technology. Maybe you 've seen this before. Although not very well known, it is one of the most sought after businesses in the world today. You can also give this as a gift for birthdays, weddings, anniversaries and other occasions. You can make this into any shape and today I will tell you how to make this into a MoonLight shape.
❤️ First you need to choose a picture that suits you. I chose here a wedding photo of Saranga and Dinakshie that we all know.
Dinakshie & Saranga | WEDDING
🧡 Then you can convert that image into a black and white image and make sure it is clear.
💛 Then you should upload the image to the appropriate software and get the 3D model you want in STL format (Steriolithography).
💚 Now you can upload that 3D model to a Open Source software like Ultimaker Cura and make the Gcode to fit your 3D printer.
💙 Then you can view a preview of your MoonLight Lithophane by using the Slice button. You can now view the amount of time and material you need for this.
💜 Here is the basic MoonLight Lithophane created by me.
🖤 For this I will use a wire with a voltage regulator switch and a 5W yellow coloured bulb with a support as shown below.
🤍 Now I've finished making my MoonLight Lithophane.
🤎 When you light it, it appears darker where it is thicker and brighter where it is thinner.
❤️ So this is how to make a beautiful MoonLight Lithophane. I think you learned something from this.
Currently I am doing this as a small scale business and below are some MoonLight Lithophanes I created for some of my customers.
🙏 Thank you & Stay Safe !

I have seen 3D printing works but this is kind of different with any photos into it. Since this is not very common in sri lanka, i think you have a great potential👌. Good luck.
Thanks Imantha. 👍👍
Great work mchn. It’s really wonderful thing to see the process of those lithophanes and I was lucky enough to witness that ❤️
I should really appreciate your support with my facebook campaign. Thank you for those flyer designs. ❤️
They are amazing!
Thank you Anupama. 😊
These moonlight lithophane are beautiful.
Thank you @rasinkani 👍
Shaaa...very beautiful ayye..😍😍😍 At first i saw it as a craving ..🙊🙊
Actually It's really nonsense without the light. On closer inspection it does not look like a carving at all. Its like a negative (invert) of a b&w photo.
waw, interesting design, we you are in the moon, have many colors this is very interesting. Creative idea. Thank you
Actually I only use yellow for this.
When I started this I tried with some different colours like blue, green, red, white......
But yellow was suitable for filament bulbs.
very beautiful, , good in the room
Wow...Just amazing...
Thank you very much 💙
What will be the prize???
