Economic Crisis | 5% to SL- Charity
Hello Steemers,
As we all know due to bad economic control and leadership currently we are facing a really bad time. During my life, this is the worst days I ever had even during the pandemic and during war time we haven’t faced days like this. Even though it is pandemic people used to live happily with their families but now people don’t even afford gas cylinders, fuel, milk powder, etc. so we are running out of dollars.
People are depressed they don’t know what to do daily wage workers are not able to do their jobs people who hired vehicles have to wait days to take fuel. this is disgusting is this happened in another country government must resign but in our country ministers don’t even have the minimum sense to do that.
Till today 3 people died due to staying a long time in queue nobody take responsibility about those incidents. Another part of this crisis is the central bank printing money like nothing thank god they can’t print dollars. I don’t even know our central bank governor got any basics of economics. Due to his bad decisions price getting increased daily for every item people can’t even afford milk powder packs for their children’s this is a really bad situation.
Apart from that, they float the dollar rate, and it's hiking like nothing last month it was 202 LKR, after that, it was 230LKR,260 LKR and currently, it is 280 LKR people who are ready to move to abroad are facing a lot of issues. Import item prices getting increasing day by day. People are speechless and they don’t know what’s happening.
Now slowly people start to raise their voices because they can’t bear this situation enough is enough. so hope my country will be back on good track soon…

I wonder why people across the world keep electing corrupt politicians to office again and again.
Many Asian countries suffer from this malaise.
Singapore is an exception, which has done extremely well at international level despite having no natural resources. Almost zero corruption, meritocratic, competitive and hard working people's representatives who are highly educated and highly capable. Discrimination is almost non-existent. That creates a conducive environment in which every citizen gives his or her best to the country.
To think that the current government in Sri Lanka was endorsed by the Buddhist monks in Sri Lanka, makes me wonder what kind of monks you have. Do your monks endorse corruption?
Did you vote based on race and religion, which took precedence over corruption? Looks like you did. Do the majority in your country treat the minorities and the non Buddhist as equals?
Why did your government take loans from China on unfavorable terms, which is probably one of the major causes of your present dilemma?
I am sorry if I sound uncaring. These are the questions you need to ask now, if you are serious about your future because if not for this crisis you will never ask such questions.

Ohhh I am sorry for this economic situation hope things shall be well after. I cannot imagine the pains and suffers you go through. Let us be for peace ☮️ for our future generations to live a happy life

I am sorry to hear about the bad conditions in your country lately. but the economic crisis in the last few days also happened in our country. it's just not as bad as in your country. I pray that the economy in your country recovers soon. and people who have authority are able to provide solutions to these problems.

Some suicide news are also sharing through social media. But I don't know whether they are true or not. Everyone is struggling, everyone is suffering. Hopeless n speechless!
Even i got the same , people are helpless they just showing their real expression. Really sad
