Game of Thrones (2011-2019)
How to start to write about this masterpiece? Well, one thing is for sure; this is my favorite TV show of all time. I only wish I could forget Game of Thrones and experience it all over again from the beginning. I know BB is great, and the no. 1 ranked TV series, but the epic storyline in this is simply amazing. As GOT is just a small part of the ASOIAF universe, a fictional world created by George R.R. Martin, the curiosity and excitement in the series is super high.
Unless writers and directors didn't screw up the last few seasons, especially the final one, the records could have been easily breaking. Anyway, Game of Thrones can still be regarded as a top-tier TV series of all time.
It's an American fantasy drama series created by David Benioff and D. B. Weiss and telecasted from 2011 to 2019 for 8 seasons. As I said earlier the GoT is based on a book series written by George R.R. Martin, A Song of Ice and Fire. It includes A Game of Thrones, A Clash of Kings, A Storm of Swords, A Feast for Crows, A Dance with Dragons, and to publish The Winds of Winter and A Dream of Spring. He has created a whole fantasy story about political dramas, battles, superficial things, conflicts between different houses, etc mainly based on an area known as Westeros and Essos.
So, here we can witness a small timeline with very interesting events. The more you watch it, it feels like actual history and increases the curiosity to explore more about it.

Apart from the amazing story, the cast gave an incredible performance, and the music, direction, cinematography, etc also received high praise. As you can see the last season and ending were the difference, receiving a 9.2/10 rating in the IMDB.

Well, with the complexity and widespread of the storyline, there are hundreds of main characters throughout the season.
I will share a small background about the ASOIAF universe from one of my previous articles.
The area, which was known as Westoroes was earlier divided into seven kingdoms and separately ruled by kings. Dorne, the north, the Reach, the riverlands, the stormlands, the Vale, and the westerlands. From them, Aegon I Targaryen (Aegon the Conqueror) conquered 06 kingdoms with his sister-wives Visenya and Rhaenys, and their dragons, Balerion, Vhagar, and Meraxe, which is known as Aegon's Conquest. He was then coronated as the King of the Andals, the Rhoynar, and the First Men and Lord of the Seven Kingdoms.

Anyway around 300 years later, Robert Baratheon successfully led a rebellion to overthrow the Targaryen Dynasty with the help of Ned Stark and other major houses and became the King, Timeline. Here the series runs from his reign.
After the death of King Robert Baratheon, a war was started, where leaders from different families tried to claim the throne. There are many epic battles, betrayals, political games, and many interesting scenes throughout. The unique tactics, behaviors, and ambitions, of different houses and their influence on the fate of Westeros are nicely portrayed here. After all, we mainly see the hunger for power and the depth people can go to achieve that.

When things progressed like this in Westeros, there was a separate group of people led by Daenerys Targaryen, the known last Targaryen. She rallied an army with Dothraky, Unsullied, and three dragons, and crossed the narrow sea to regain her father's throne.
The game gets very interesting with the things at the edge of the North. There's a huge wall to protect the kingdom from the threats beyond the wall. It's a snowy land, where Free Folks lived. The army guarding the wall is called the Night’s Watch. So, the end game with the rise of a superstitious army led by the Night King with the White Walkers and the Army of the Dead.
So, that's a small overview of the story. One of the most amazing things about this show is it has quotes. It's not just about the battles, blood, and violence. But epic dialogues, plots, and tactics are involved.
The success of the show can be seen in the number of awards it received. 397 wins with 59 Primetime Emmys & 655 nominations. It was awarded the Outstanding Drama Series in 2015, 2016, 2018, and 2019 in Primetime Emmys, and many more in directing, writing, cast, visual effects, etc. Peter Dinklage is the most decorated person in the series, with four times winning the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor, and being nominated in all 8 seasons.
So, this is just an invitation to watch this masterpiece.
