The Golden Maverick - Splinterlands

In order to become a Maverick in Splinterlands you have to buy a Summoner Spellbook, previously known as a Starter Pack and then buy 500 booster packs which means spending US$1000.

Booster packs bought via Steem-Engine or elsewhere aren't included in your total.

It's taken me nearly 2 years to do, buying card packs when I could afford to do so, so it really is an honour.

I was welcomed by both @mattclarke and @simplymike for this achievement too.

Also for the second time this year, and ever, I reached the Gold I League in the latest fortnightly season. I am getting better and better at this game.

This granted me 30 Loot Chests as reward!

And here they are opened:

Dark Energy Crystals or DEC, are an in-game currency which price fluctuates but is roughly 1000 DEC to $1

DEC really is FREE MONEY just for playing and winning matches.
Legendary potions increase your chance of either winning a Legendary card as a reward, or if you save them up like I do, increase your chance of opening them in booster packs.
Alchemy potions increase your chance of winning, or opening a gold foil card.
Essence Orbs can be opened for more cards, possibly gold or Legendary. Limited in number.

All of the above can be sold for Steem and converted to other crypto or even your local currency via a crypto exchange, when I see people complain about their rewards it saddens me a little.

I also lease out my cards to other players for Steem, where the game really pays for itself!
