The month of January is almost over, but the transfer window is still open. In Europe's top leagues, there are still more transfer rumors. Currently, the African Cup of Nations is taking place and will be advanced to the quarterfinals soon. The Afcon and the transfer window are the two most talked-about topics in football right now.

Anthony Martial is a Manchester United forward from France. Anthony Martial is one of the talented players that isn't enjoying the finest season of his career. In 2015, the 26-year-old Frenchman earned the Golden Boy Award. Martial has 79 goals and 5 titles to his name with Manchester United. Martial failed to live up to expectations at the club and must now contemplate a move in order to regain form. Several Premier League clubs were interested in signing the young Frenchman, but he preferred to join Sevilla on loan. Martial will remain with Sevilla until the conclusion of the season. Manchester United supporters hope that the player returns to the club in better shape.

Dramatic Afcon Knock Out Stages

The knockout stages of the African Cup of Nations have just begun, and some major names remain in the competition. Burkina Faso is the first country to advance to the quarterfinals from the round of 16 stage. Nigeria, the Afcon favorite this year, was eliminated by Tunisia in a 1-0 loss. Senegal, Gambia, Cameroon, and Morocco have also advanced to the fourth round. Today, January 26th, 2022, the last two teams will be determined. Ivory Coast against Egypt is a highly anticipated match. The final game of the Afcon round of 16 will pit Mail vs Guinea for the quarterfinals on January 29, 2022. The favorites for the competition are Ivory Coast and Senegal.

Jose Mourinho, one of football's greatest managers, celebrates his 59th birthday today. Jose Mourinho is well-known for his achievements during his career. His most notable managerial exploits are winning the Champions League with Porto and the treble with Inter Milan. In his coaching career, the special one has won 25 trophies and has coached some of Europe's best teams. Mourinho has served as the head coach of Benefica, Leiria, Fc Porto, Chelsea, Inter Milan, Real Madrid, Manchester United, Spurs, and Roma. Jose is the current manager of the Roma in Italy. Roma is presently ranked 6th in the standings of the Serie A. Once again, a happy birthday to Jose Mourinho.
