This week's contest is on a world cup match that you can never forget
In my life I have watched so many world cups finals but the one I will never forget is the France 98 world cup final.
In every world cup so many wonders do happen but comparing the squad Brazil had then and France, it was a match of the giants.
Brazil with its great name playing against the French. What a match I wish there a dejavou on.
A very great achievement to host a world cup and be the cupwinner at the end of the tournament.
MATCH FACTS
Below is the stadium the final world cup match between the French and the Brazil was played. They hosted and won the cup
The match took place on 12th July 1998

In the first quarter of the match Zinedine Zidane gave france a comfortable lead just before the first half with a marvelous header from a swinging corner taken by Emmanuel Petit.

Few minutes later, Ronaldo had a through ball which placed him on goal by a long pass from Dunga, but got interfered by Fabien Barthez, who had a collision with the Brazillian striker. Both players demmanded the assistance of medics but quickly recovered .
Brazil playmerks were not able to outflank the French as their center backs and wingbacks Bixebte Lizarazu and Lillian Thuram helped bossed the midfield. Based on past performance from Roberto Carlos, much was expected from him in this match but all in vein. Cafu and Roberto Carlos could not contribute to Brazils attack as they always did in subsequent matches Like Brazil vs Chile and Bazil Vs Denmark.
Getting closer to stoppage time France had another chance to double their lead against Brazil when a slip pass by Brazil two central defenders, Baino and Aldair put Stephen to one on one with Taffarel but the French striker failed to hit the ball with power which lead to a save by Tafferel which gave France a corner kick.
France doubled their score as Brazil could not clear on the second corner. Zinedine Zidane scored another hearder which looked almost alike comparing to his first header goal against the Brazilians.

In the second half, Ronaldo had a clear chance to half the two goals,he had the chance in the penalty box but his best short was into Barthez's arms. Brazil had another clear chance but to the winds when Denilson hit the cross bar from a very good position, a very good chance inside the penalty area.
The French midfielder, Emmanuel Petit concluded the match to 3 in the 90th minute after getting a through pass from his colleague teammate Patrick Viera from Arsenal shooting the ball low into the net. Unfortunately on the part of France, they had to finish the game with 10 men after the dismissal of Marcel Desailly for the remaining 20 minutes of the game but they were still victories over Brazil

This is the world cup match I can’t forget because of the wonders that occurred during that match. Zidane did all he could to give them the win but Brazil having Ronaldo, Ronaldinho and other players whom we all think they could lead them to victory but all efforts was in vein.

Nice entry and presentation @silencewan. I must say France thoroughly deserved the win due to their resilience and perseverence.
Brazil was out of focus and the loss of Ronaldo was a great contributory factor.

I usually pay attention to all the little things before I sit down to watch an important football match. but I realized that you should not look for information in blogs. No offense bro.. But you're biased and don't have full access to the stats.
