Rather surprisingly France have been eliminated from the Euro’s 2020 in a spectacular manner.
People say the small teams always end up surprising the big teams but I for one never thought that Switzerland will be the team to eliminate France from the championship.

France is always dominant when they are playing against smaller teams, and these smaller teams most of the time show how scared they are by holding back and then playing on the counter.

It’s always dangerous for the bigger team when the smaller team ends up scoring the first goal because they grow in confidence and then they either defend properly or they start coming out to play football.
And when I say to play football, I mean they start making short passes to each other and then they start enjoying the play.

From the neutral’s point of view, it was beautiful to watch as tensions got even higher and we were able to enjoy the match.

I am particularly disappointed that France have been eliminated like this.
I wanted to see if they could compete for the ultimate price.
No one player should be blamed for their elimination but the whole team should be blamed for their overconfidence.

When the match was at 3-2, all players in the France team should have stopped committing too much and then look to see out the match without considering any more goals.
But they wanted to show that they have the quality and they were defeated.

In a penalty shootout you can never predict the winner and in this case, you cannot say that France was the better side.

Switzerland exceeded all expectations when they were able to take this match into extra time and they deserved the win.

All I can say is they played well and I hope they can go all the way and keep on surprising the football world.
