Arsenal was humbled during the week by Liverpool even though they put up one hell of a performance. Even though I had my doubts over Liverpool winning the game they still proved me wrong by showing that they are up for the title race against city.

Well, Liverpool is very well known for clipping the wings of teams that seem to be flying high. I remember this same time last season when Leicester city was high and was In good form scoring teams here and there and we all taught it was time for them to do it against Liverpool it didn't even look like they were the team in marvelous form.

Today Arsenal is playing against villa who after changing a manager is kind of playing well. Gerard after taking over the team has brought much improvement and we know that they can hurt arsenal and they will do that today when they play against them at the villa park. To the disappointment of Arsenal, they will be playing away with a stadium filled with Villa fans who will be behind their team.

Arsenal are fighting for a top 4 finish this season and with all honesty, I feel like finishing in the top 4 will be a great one they won't still win the champions league but it will be a great accomplishment even if they were knocked out in the group stage of the competition. Not to undermine arsenal or anything but we have seen how they have fared against the small clubs even in the Europa League.

Currently, they are in the top 4 of the premier league standings with 51 points and 2 games in hand from the first team which is city. But city is away from them with a gap of 19 points but they still have hope of reaching Chelsea who is 8 points away from them but they have a game in hand which will they will play today against villa. So winning this game will mean that Chelsea will be 5 points away from them.

Villa on the other hand are 9th in the league and they will be looking to get back to winning ways after losing west ham the last time out. The top 4 is far from them now but at least a 5th position finish will be an achievement.

They currently have 36 points and the team is in the 5th position have 50 points and the 6th have 48 points. At least playing in the Conference league will be a huge achievement for Villa and Gerrard for his first season in the club

Let's see how the match goes but am backing arsenal to win this even though they will be pressured by the villa press. But knowing Arsenal so well they will break that press down in a couple of minutes and a string of passes.
