Nothing Much Has Changed For Leeds.

Marsch hasn't marched Leeds to their desired goal after he has lost his first 2 games in charge. They showed promise in their game against Leicester City but they soon met another defeat after Steven Gerrard's men put them to the sword with another resounding 3-0 defeat. It's all about results and in as much as playing fancy is adorable to the fans, they want to see results because that's all that matters in the Premier League, as far as the table is concerned.

He is still trying to imprint his ideas on the team and as someone said before now that the sacking of Bielsa was a wrong move, especially at that stage of the season because this new manager coming in, it would take a while for him to get his ideas across to the team and the team is under pressure as they need results so they can stay up in the league.

I still believe they can pull off a miraculous escape that's if Burnley won't get the results they desire to. A lot is at stake and it's risky asking a new manager to come in at this stage of the season if you are not already resigned to going back into the championship. They have to be realistic and Jesse Marsch is not Sam Allardyce that has created a name for himself in pulling off a miraculous escape for most of his teams.

I must say that I am particularly impressed with Steven Gerrard and what he is going for Aston Villa. I know the comparison with him and Frank Lampard won't stop and they both got good squads in their respective teams and we have seen Lampard lose as many games as possible. Gerrard seems to know what he wants, how to tweak his games, know when to rely on certain players and when not to. The addition of Philippe Coutinho was a massive lift for Aston Villa too and I felt that's what Leeds United should have done in January.

Leeds United should have added a quality forward to their lineup to lift the mood around the place. It's the same thing Manchester United did when they got Bruno Fernandes back then in January and he lifted the mood of the place. Aston Villa did the same thing as well and we have seen the same thing with Tottenham when they got Kulusevski and he has been phenomenal for Tottenham. He slotted in so easily and you would think he has been there for ages.

Leeds United has been struggling for results of late and addition up front would have helped especially when Bamford was out during that period. A new addition would have injected life into the team and helped push them to rediscover their first season form we have all come to love. I now believe it wasn't a new manager they needed because the problem continues... It's an injection into the team they need. Of course, they got James from Manchester United and he has been good for them for most of the games but I feel a more recognized center forward would have been nice and not the make-shift center forwards.

Aston Villa got the better of Leeds and thanks to Coutinho, Cash and Chambers who got Villa the needed points. Now, Leeds United would have to be looking over the shoulder to be sure if Burnley would win the outstanding games and if Burnley wins with Everton also having outstanding games, Leeds United would slip into the relegation zone.

For some weird reasons, I still believe that they would pull through but it's not just about believing but about getting the needed results to stay there but they have to believe it too.
