Hello, World Of Football Community!
1—What posts do you intend to create in this community?
When I entered this community a few months ago, I already knew that I wanted to produce personal-based football content. Through the different contests around, it has been easy to achieve such goal in the short term.
However, I must confess I have been tempted lately to post out of contests. My main idea for this new purpose is to bring controversial topics about current football events, past football games curiosities and individual profiling on not well-known players.
2—What do you understand by the term content etiquette?
Content Etiquette refers to those labels or tags used when one is about to post new content within a certain community, and thus other people can find it more easily. It is important to underline tags must be correlated to the content itself. Otherwise, tags' function got wasted. Do not add out-of-context tags to your post (it will be lost in the wide internet sea with little results for you) and do not put popular, "easy-making" prize tags to it, neither (it will be equally lost, or even sactioned).
3—What is plagiarism and how do you intend to refrain from this act?
Plagarism is the mere act of taking what one does not own or has not produced as if one had.
I pretend to avoid this untrustworthy act posting my own writings and using only images that are mine or, in the case they are on the internet, to take those that are copyright-free.
4—What do you understand by copyright-abuse?
Copyright abuse means to use exclusive material without any kind of permission from the intellectual owner of such material. In other words, no one but the owner(s) of the copyrighted items or materials has the legal right of using or distributing them.
5—Where can you find copyright-free images for your posts?
There are several pages where one can find copyright-free images for posting in the World of Football. Below I drop a list of some of them:
6—How do you properly cite an image or post? Show the license details as well.
Ok, let us go for an example to answer this question. I am going to use an image from Wikimedia commons
I am going to look for Luka Modrić images.
- Choose the image of your preference
- Make sure to click on Tools button and then on Creative Common Licenses to access to the copyright-free stock of images
- Once you get the image you want, click on the license details
The direct consequence of plagiarism or copyright abuse is being banned from the World of Football Community and put on a muted status. This is, the infractor user cannot post anymore in the community.
8—Include a photo of yourself holding a sheet that has ; @yourusername, post date and steemit worldoffootball.
9—Conclusion
In order to care about quality posting and avoid banning, we all the members of the World Of Football community must follow the conditions explained above. The community is full of both useful information and people that can guide everyone through. No excuses.
