Hello Nature Lovers !

Now that you are all locked up in your accommodations for the next few weeks it is so hard to stay in touch with the beauties of nature out there. So I decided to launch this Nature Motivation Show for you ^^ It will contain 10 episodes and will be published over two weeks. Each day I will present to you one of those episodes, with collected footage from the Botanical Gardens Bochum and the Hohenstein National Park in Witten, so that you can stay sane and still feel like a creation of our Mother Earth, and not like another piece of furniture of your accommodation ;) .. I will cover trees,bushes, carnivorous plants and beautiful flowers, wild forest animals and petting zoo animals, fungi and much more for you 😜 .. Today's episode is about Fiery Flowers.


German: Jetzt, da wir alle für die nächsten Wochen eingesperrt sind, ist es schwer, in Kontakt mit den Schönheiten der Natur da draußen zu bleiben. Also habe ich beschlossen diese Nature Motivation Show für euch zu starten ^^ Es wird über 2 Wochen insgesamt 10 Episoden geben. Jeden Tag werde ich eine vorstellen, mit Aufnahmen aus dem Botanischen Garten Bochum und dem Nationalpark Hohenstein in Witten, damit ihr euch weiterhin wie eine Schöpfung unserer Mutter Erde fühlen könnt, und nicht wie ein weiteres Möbelstück eurer Wohnung ;) .. Ich werde Bäume, Sträucher, fleischfressende Pflanzen und schöne Blumen, Waldtiere und Streichelzootiere, Pilze und vieles mehr für euch abdecken .. In der heutigen Folge geht es um Tier-Liebende Planzen

Alstroemeria Aurantiaca : The Lily Of The Incas

The Lily Of The Incas is native to South America, especially in Chile and Brazil. The flowers is actually super demanding is it require at least six hours of direct sunlight, a regular supply of water and moist and well-drained soil. But it is very very popular by our little pollinators and butterflies. The flower has six 5 cm long petals that are in a chalice like shape, in many very beautiful colour mixtures and tones incuding red, orange, purple, green, and white, flecked and striped and streaked and also with darker colors. There really is a big variety and all look so great.


German: Die Lily Of The Incas stammt aus Südamerika, und ist vor allem in Chile und Brasilien zu finden. Die Blumen sind super anspruchsvoll. Sie brauchen mindestens sechs Stunden direkte Sonneneinstrahlung, eine regelmäßige Versorgung mit Wasser und feuchten und durchlässigen Boden. Aber sie sind sehr beliebt bei unseren kleinen Bestäubern und Schmetterlingen. Die Blume hat sechs 5 cm lange Blütenblätter, die eine Kelch-ähnlichen Form annehmen, welche in vielen sehr schönen Farbmischungen und Tönen, wie zum Beispiel rot, orange, lila, grün und weiß, gefleckt und auch gestreift und mit dunkleren Farben, zu finden sind. Es gibt wirklich eine große Vielfalt und alle sehen so toll aus.

Erythrina Humeana : The Dwarf Coral Tree

The Dwarf Coral Tree is native to Southafrica. It is rich in nectar and therefore attracts a huge variety of insects and birds. The stems can reach heights up to 3 m and it is commonly used as an ornamental tree due to its intense red elongated flowers. The leaves possess small thorns prickles on the underside of the petiole and the leaf veins.


German: Der Zwergkorallenbaum stammt aus Südafrika. Es ist reich an Nektar und zieht daher eine große Vielfalt an Insekten und Vögeln an. Die Stiele können bis zu 3 m hoch werden und werden aufgrund ihrer intensiven roten länglichen Blüten häufig als Zierbaum verwendet. Die Blätter besitzen kleine Dornen auf den Blattadern auf der Unterseite der Blätter.

Cuphea Ignea : The Cigar Plant

The Cigar Plant is native to Central America. It can get as height as 30 cm and blossoms from April to October. This plant possesses some unique 3 cm long tube shaped blossoms that are glowing in an intense orange-red color.


German: Die Zigarrenpflanze stammt aus Mittelamerika. Sie kann bis zu 30 cm hoch werden und blüht von April bis Oktober. Diese Pflanze besitzt einige einzigartige 3 cm lange röhrenförmige Blüten, die in einer intensiven orange-roten Farbe leuchten.

Gaillardia Aristata : The Blanketflower

The Blanketflower is a extremely beautiful and eye-catching wildflower that is native to the western regions of North America, from Yukon up in Canada to California and Arizona down in the USA. They get up to 70 cm in height and have thin stems, but gigantic flower heads. The leaves of the flower have a beautiful red color in the inner and a yellow color in the outer regions. There are also examples that blossom is deep red to purple colors.


_German: Die Kokardenblume ist eine extrem schöne und auffällige Wildblume, die in den westlichen Regionen Nordamerikas beheimatet ist, angefangen im Yukon in Kanada bis nach Kalifornien und Arizona in den USA. Sie werden bis zu 70 cm hoch und haben dünne Stiele, aber gigantische Blütenköpfe. Die Blätter der Blume haben eine schöne rote Farbe im Inneren und eine gelbe Farbe in den äußeren Bereichen. Es gibt auch Blumen, deren Blüten tiefrot bis lila farbend sind.
