RE: Please, talk with us! / Bitte, redet mit uns!

Very interesting topic. In more than two years in Steemit, I never understood who is responsible for what here. My understanding is that big changes in the blockchain are the responsibility of the witnesses if they reach a consensus. But since I have been at Seemit, this has never happened.

I think those who can make some changes don't want to know about them to avoid unnecessary attention... and also to avoid unnecessary work.

Once I came across the idea that everything works here anyway and maybe it's not worth making changes so as not to cause harm. Is it strange to be afraid to change something so as not to harm? I think we need even banal cosmetic changes to show the world that the project is developing.

But since I have been at Seemit, this has never happened.

Isn't that sad!? There is not even a (visible) discussion about a development. Even from the users there are only the usual suggestions about "optics" or "handling". At least from most of them.

I think we need even banal cosmetic changes to show the world that the project is developing.

You might think that the Steemit DIP goes exactly in this direction. But you can polish up the sheet metal as well as you want. If the engine stutters, the car won't drive much better...

Sure, Steemit is not the Steem. If something is to be changed on the blockchain, it's not Steemit Inc. that's called for first. But the Räbin got the point: who is responsible for what in the first place. Who "guards" the code of the Steem BC (on Github)? When a (real) hardfork is planned, milestones have to be set. It has to be planned, code goals have to be set. As long as there is no progress in this respect, nothing will happen... and unfortunately I don't see a solution at the moment...

Off topic - aber: the Räbin... ;-)))) Ich feier Dich!

Schön, ne... ach, das Gendern fehlt dann doch im Englischen doppelzwinker

You upset me even more. I would like to see some proactive core that would lead us forward :(

I'd like to see that one too. But I don't give up the hope, I hope you do too. :-)

I used to think that we could self-organize into an initiative group, which would include developers and ordinary users. But this is meaningless, since such a group will not be able to make any changes or improvements. Also, it takes resources to get developers interested. What will be the role of ordinary users? What are they needed for?

Yes, I'm still not giving up hope :)

In more than two years in Steemit, I never understood who is responsible for what here.

Since the old crew left and Elli Powell and Justin Sun were bullied in the worst way after transparency attempts, there has been no (public) information about this. That is nearly four years ago...

everything works here anyway

Should I cry or laugh?

Too bad, I wish we had some kind of road map based on our capabilities.

Exactly - the simple question: why engage where there are more unanswered questions than answers?
