The Lifestyle Diary Game | 11/11/2024 | My Appointment with the Doctor: A Step Towards Healing
My morning went as usual, but today I had a doctor’s appointment at noon. My father arranged it yesterday with a medicine specialist for my stomach issues. After lunch, my father and I left for the doctor’s chamber in Saidpur town.
At the bus terminal, we found a bus about to leave for Saidpur, so we quickly got on. It took around 30 minutes to reach the town, but we arrived a bit late to the doctor’s chamber. My appointment was set for 3 p.m., but we arrived about an hour late. The waiting room was packed, and since I was late, the clerk informed me that I’d have to wait around three hours to be seen.
Three hours felt like a long time to wait, especially for my father. So, I suggested he visit his colleague nearby, while I would meet up with his colleague's son, who’s also my friend. It’s funny how we each have friends in the same family, so it works out well.
After waiting for a few minutes, we went off to meet our friends. My father caught up with his colleague at his house, while I went out for a walk with my friend. It worked out perfectly, giving each of us some time to enjoy our own company.
After enjoying the desserts, we headed back to the doctor’s chamber, as it was nearly time for my appointment. My father was already there and had called me to join him. A few moments after I arrived, my friend and younger brother left.
When my turn came, I went into the doctor’s office and explained my symptoms. The doctor prescribed some medicines for two weeks and mentioned that if there’s no improvement by then, he would order some medical tests for further examination.
Afterward, we stopped at a restaurant where I had dinner, and my father enjoyed some yogurt. Then, we went to a pharmacy to buy the prescribed medicines, where I met my friend and younger brother again. After picking up the medicines, they accompanied me and my father to the railway station. My father and I took the train back home.
Once we reached our hometown, we bought burgers for my mom and sister-in-law and then headed home. I was tired but managed to catch the last ODI cricket match between Bangladesh and Afghanistan.
It was an eventful day with plenty to share. Along with my doctor’s appointment, I got to spend time with my friend, which made the day even more enjoyable.
My diary ends here. May everyone be healthy and safe by the grace of Allah. I will try to share my activities with you for the next day.
