The Debate (No.50); Male have easy life
Men and women live their lives in different ways. They both encounter numerous common obstacles, and society frequently influences their roles and expectations. Let's see how their daily lives alter and what advantages or limitations they may encounter.
Yes, I believe that both men and women face various challenges in their daily lives because of social roles and expectations. Women have to balance their family and professional duties. This may lead to tension and a lack of personal time. Women frequently face gender issues, particularly in the workplace, where they may be paid less than males for performing the same tasks. Furthermore, women frequently face safety concerns in society, particularly in public spaces. For example, women find it difficult to travel alone at night. Travelling alone is not permitted for women in South Asian countries such as Sri Lanka and it is condemned by society.
Men are considered the main breadwinner in the family. This could put pressure on them to succeed in their employment and create financial stress. Additionally, men are unable to express their feelings as openly as women, which may have an impact on mental health.
Yes, in comparison to women, men have more freedom. When it comes to women, historically, women assigned to restricted roles, such as housekeeping and childcare. But, men have more freedom in their choices. They are free to pursue their careers, hobbies, and lives without fear of society's criticism. For example, men can travel or work abroad alone without being questioned.
Women have limitations due to societal and family expectations. Women have to prioritize their family than their private expectations. For example, ladies who work late at night or late to marriage will be criticized by society. However, presently the situation has changed, giving more independence to the women than in the past.
Yes, in some sectors, women have some advantages. For example, women are regarded as more sensitive and caring than men. It can be a strength in roles such as teaching, nursing, caregiving, and social work. Women have multitasking abilities that can successfully balance multiple responsibilities. Furthermore, women's emotional connections with others can be a great tool for developing strong personal and professional relationships.
It often differs between males and women. Women are highly expected to manage household and childcare responsibilities, even if they work professionally. For example, even a working mother has to cook, clean, and care for children after her office hours. As well, men are expected to handle with financial matters. However, in some modern families, this is changing slightly. They share these responsibilities equally, with men contributing to the home and women to the income.
In my opinion, it is difficult to say because each faces different challenges. But men have certain benefits since they face fewer limitations in society and have more freedom to pursue their goals. When it comes to women, they mostly have to choose their family requirements over their own goals. They have to perform at the office as well as housework, which might be stressful. However, I must say that men live a more comfortable existence than women.

Thank you very much for the support.
You are welcome.
