The Debate (Week 47); IS HOME WORK NECESSARY FOR LEARNING?
Hi everyone,
It's another day of the week, and I'm delighted to participate in this contest today organized by @sahmie, which talks about IS HOME WORK NECESSARY FOR LEARNING? I will be making my entry below, so read through it and drop your valuable comment, as it will be appreciated.
Do you think homework helps you remember what you learned in school?
Yes, I think homework helps me very well to remember what I have learned in school. Most times, as students we don't have the chance to go back to our books when we are at home because we don't even love reading. So with the help of homework we will have no option than to go back to our books almost daily to check what we have been taught.
Homework mostly are always related to the task we initially have done in the class so to answer perfectly these questions that comes we must try as much as we can to go through what we have been taught in the class.
Based on these, I believe strongly that homework helps me in no small way to remember what I have been taught in school. So for this question I believe I have answered based on my experience.
How do you feel when you have a lot of homework?
Having a lot of homework at the same time can be very frustrating because you will be very tired and may not be able to do them very well to your test due to the rush to have all of the tasks completed.
Since your target is to beat the limited time for the submission of the task, it is always never easy to have all of these work done. So in my opinion I don't feel comfortable whenever I'm having much of homework task to do at the same time.
I'm sure that no student will even love that kind of rush and stress because currently I know that students all over the country especially in where I stay now, they don't like being pressured to do anything at all especially what doesn't give them immediate money.
Can you think of ways homework could be made more useful or enjoyable?
Homework can be made more enjoyable in my opinion when the homework comes with practical work that requires students to purchase things and make production themselves.
I have seen tasks given this way and most times in group and the students find it very interesting because they are doing it with their friends and the joy of sharing their knowledge or competing on who gets the best always surfaces.
In summary, homework shouldn't be given as an individual contest instead it should be given as a team work and it should most be based on real practicals so that they can apply a real life case scenario and see the outcome of what they are learning in the school.
I want to invite @josepha, @simonnwigwe, and @bonaventure24, to join the contest in this community and share their entry participation.
