Contest: The Debate (Week 50); Who has an easier life, Male or Female?
Hello friends welcome to my blog
Do you think men and women face different challenges in their daily lives? What are some examples?
Men and women face different challenges in their daily lives, which come with different experiences and roles.
The men are the primary providers of the home, and this comes with the pressure of giving preference to work over personal life at the cost of family time and their well-being. When they don't meet the expectations of providing for their homes, it gives them a feeling of failure, and this might make them feel pressured to work more to sustain their role as primary providers at the expense of their personal lives.
Women combine both work and domestic responsibilities, which is more of a duty to them or more working hours for them in the sense of working a full day at their workplace and coming back home to resume other work-home duties.
In your opinion, do men have more freedom in their choices compared to women? Why or why not?
Of course, men have freedom in their choice while women are confronted with lots of restrictions, although these restrictions presently affect some groups of individuals, cultures, religions and countries. This is a result of so many reasons, like gender inequality, which has posed a lot of limitations on women where they are not allowed access to education, but men are allowed to school, limiting women's opportunities and rights. Women are overworked, tryin' to balance their work and family duties when compared to men.
Furthermore, men are paid more in some organisations while women are most often paid less because of their gender, limiting women from making independent choices. Women are sometimes not given leadership roles in some cultures, countries and organisations, which limits their voices has been hard as society accepts giving men active roles.
However, these restrictions are not the same everywhere as some women get the privilege of equal freedom and rights in some places, and presently, there has been progress in promoting women's rights and enabling them.
Are there areas where you think women have an advantage over men? What might those be?
Sure, Women are naturally intentional leaders that birth a new idea and are proactive for both themselves and others. Women have lots of undisputable advantages over men due to their unique nature. We can see this advantage in the area of Stress management. Women manage stress better than men due to the different hormones present in a woman compared to those of men; for this reason, women can manage high professional roles successfully with the stress that comes with it and energetically manage their attention-needing family life.
Additionally, women are multitasking. A woman's brain can use different portions simultaneously to perform different tasks; this is among the things women can do better than men. For example, a woman can manage friends, work and family without mistake or forgetting. Most times in my house, I cook, help the kids with homework and wash clothes at the same time, but a man can only do one at a time.
Women are good at managing funds. This is one thing most women do better in a home than men because they are more careful when it comes to investing and the budget of the family.
Moreso, women communicate better. Studies have shown that woman talks three times more during the day than men. Women speak using lots of their brain cells as their brains can process and analyze more words, feelings, and emotions. With this, they are better at communication than men
What role do family responsibilities play in the lives of men and women? Is one gender expected to do more?
Family responsibilities are a vital role both men and women play differently in a home to balance the personal life of each person, but if it is one-sided, the other person suffers.
Although men have the responsibility of providing financially for the family and making decisions. Despite the different roles, men and women carry more of the burden of family responsibilities.
Culture and tradition expect a woman to do more, which is wrong. Even when both men and women are working, women are still expected to do more, thereby combining their work and domestic duties. I think it should be a balanced share of responsibility and to create and balance
°In conclusion, who do you think personally to have an easier life and why?
Although both men and women have their different challenges the men have an easier life than the women, they have better opportunities to work, earn more as they are paid more than the women Even when the women work the same as them. The women still come back home to attend work at home said to be a woman's duty.
